Diddy's trial is currently ongoing and evidently, Foxx has things to say.

Sean “Diddy” Combs, who is currently on trial in New York City for serious sex trafficking charges.

Foxx’s routine included several sharp jokes about Combs, referencing details from the ongoing trial. He made light of the accusations, comparing Combs’ situation to a scene from the movie Life, where one character uses a harsh insult against another. He also joked about claims involving baby oil and other graphic details from the legal case. Foxx brought up how the Black community might feel betrayed by Combs’ alleged actions while suggesting that some white people might not be as surprised.

As found by Yahoo, Foxx said, “Diddy is crazy, huh?” I don’t know if he is going to jail but he is a nasty motherf*****. Am I right? Specially for us… White people, like, ‘It’s cool,’ but for Black people… that was our hero. All that goddamn baby oh, boy! Why you so nasty, Diddy?”

One of the most interesting parts of the performance was how Foxx connected his own near-death health crisis to his jokes about Combs. In his Netflix special, What Had Happened Was, Foxx addressed online rumors that Combs had something to do with denied these rumors, saying his health scare was due to a brain bleed. But during his comedy set, he brought it up again, using dark humor to describe his close call with death.

Jamie Foxx makes fun of Diddy

Fox joked about seeing a “hot tunnel” and wondering if he was going to hell, then added with a smirk that maybe Combs was waiting for him there. Mixing comedy with such a personal and traumatic experience, while also tying it to Combs’ legal troubles was pretty funny.

The charges against Combs are very serious. He is accused of multiple crimes, including racketeering, sex trafficking by force, and arranging prostitution. He has pleaded not guilty to all charges. The details of the trial, which include claims of forced sexual acts and violent threats, are a stark contrast to the lighthearted tone of Foxx’s jokes.

Foxx’s comedy comes at a tricky time. While it’s common for comedians to poke fun at famous people, this situation is more complicated because of how serious the accusations against Combs are. The contrast between Foxx’s jokes and the severity of the charges makes people question whether the comedy was in poor taste or if it was a smart way to comment on a difficult topic. Some might see the jokes as insensitive, especially considering what Combs could face if found guilty. Others might view it as sharp social commentary, using humor to explore how the public sees celebrities.
