Sporting a new look, the story naturally veered toward Pitt’s much-discussed interior life — unlike Hamilton and Idris, who have so far managed to keep a tighter lid on their personal affairs. In a case of life mimicking art, Pitt’s production of F1 was filled with ups and downs, much like his marriages. In the GQ article, it’s revealed that the star was actually supposed to be in an entirely different car racing movie: Ford v Ferrari. That film was originally set to co-star Mission: Impossible star Tom Cruise, but due to creative differences, it eventually ended up with Christian Bale and Matt Damon in the lead roles.

F1 was no walk in the park either — there was a writer’s strike, then an actor’s strike, and a ballooning budget that attracted quite a bit of bad press. Behind the scenes, Pitt was moving on from his long-term partnership with Angelina Jolie while also facing accusations from his family about his conduct during that period. Serendipitously, the final day of filming in Abu Dhabi reportedly coincided with the day Jolie and Pitt reached a settlement in their long-contentious divorce. Pitt was long-rumored of being abusive in their relationship.

Pitt was open about how he’s been feeling amid the constant media attention. According to him, this has been the case for three decades. When asked if filming his new movie at least provided a refuge from the negative press, Pitt pushed back, saying, “It’s been an annoyance I’ve had to always deal with in different degrees, large and small, as I do the things I really want to do. So, it’s always been this kind of nagging time suck or waste of time, if you let it be that. I don’t know. I don’t know.”

There are very few accomplishments left for the 61-year-old to chase in Hollywood. He’s won the biggest awards, worked with the most visionary directors, and broken all manner of box office records. He’s simply had a harder time figuring out how to deal with the press — and, as reports suggest, maybe even his own family. If he feels he needs to ignore everyone to gain control over that, then that’s what he has to do.

On Thursday, May 1, Jolie stepped out for yet another publicized outing with their youngest son, Knox. The mother and son duo went grocery shopping in Los Feliz, California, and the paparazzi came prepared to capture their heartwarming bond in the parking lot.

Photos obtained by Page Six showed Knox almost towering over his mother as he pushed a cart filled with grocery items they had just bought from Lazy Acres. The actress, clad in an all-black ensemble, walked closely with her son, and she seemingly spotted the cameras at one point since she was captured flashing a smile directly into the lens.

Knox, who looked like a carbon copy of his mother, kept it low-key for their casual outing, wearing cargo pants, a “Little Tokyo” shirt, and a pair of white and gray sneakers. Jolie must have media-trained the 16-year-old as he kept smiling in every shot released by the outlet.

At first glance, it would seem like Jolie and Knox’s outing was no more than a cozy mother-son trip to replenish their supplies at home. But knowing how Jolie likes to flash the parent card in public once in a while, it’s obvious that she’s subtly sending a message to her 61-year-old ex-husband about why she’ll always be the better parent between them.

Jolie’s latest outing with Knox is one of those moments that the actress seemingly stages to either annoy or show her former spouse what he’s been missing out on after allegedly being a sad excuse of a father to their children. In November 2024, she did the same thing when she brought Knox to the Governors Awards to parade him in front of the press.

At the time, an insider said Pitt saw the gesture as a calculated jab. “He believed it was meant to push his buttons,” the source said, noting that it happened while the pair’s nasty custody battle was dragging on longer than most celebrity marriages. Things did not end there as Jolie took another swipe at her ex in a subsequent interview, where she proudly said, “My work is not everything. Being a parent is everything.”

Pitt is largely estranged from the six children he shares with Jolie — Maddox, 23, Pax, 21, Zahara, 20, Shiloh, 18, and twins Knox and Vivienne. Although we can’t blame any of them for keeping distance from their father after reports of how he allegedly assaulted their mother and one of them during a 2016 airplane flight, which became a contentious subject in their legal battle.

So far, three of Pitt’s children — Shiloh, Zahara, and Vivienne — have opted to drop his surname and use their mom’s last name instead. Meanwhile, Pax penned a scathing post on Father’s Day 2020, calling his celebrity dad a “world -class a-hole” and “a terrible and despicable person.” If these are telling us something, it’s that Jolie has every right to parade her harmonious relationship with their children at Pitt’s expense.

When it comes to Brad Pitt’s love life, the story revolves mainly around his marriage to Jennifer Aniston and how it overlapped with the beginning of his romance with Angelina Jolie while strongly hinting at the possibility that he cheated on his wife. What many forget is that he was in love with Gwyneth Paltrow before falling for the Friends star, so much so that he openly, brazenly vowed to kill Harvey Weinstein.

She was expected to keep the interaction a secret, but she told Pitt about it, and he refused to remain silent about it.

She revealed more about the confrontation during her appearance on The Howard Stern Show, sharing that it took place at the opening of the Broadway show Hamlet in 1995 where Pitt told Weinstein that “if you ever make her feel uncomfortable again, I’ll kill you.”

“It was the equivalent of throwing him against the wall, energetically. It was so fantastic… He leveraged his fame and power to protect me at a time when I didn’t have fame or power yet. He’s the best.”

The couple would break their engagement in 1997 and go their separate ways as, per Paltrow, she wasn’t ready to get married. But Brad Pitt remains the hero who stood up for her when she needed it the most and practically protected her from a sexual ab. Sadly, decades later, the actor would not be seen as the protector his kids and now-ex wife Angelina Jolie needed as they levelled serious accusations of physical violence against Pitt, alleging that he assaulted her and her children when they came to help her.

Just like their love story, the tale of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s separation became a big public spectacle after she accused him of abusing her and her children. The allegation may have never become a legal charge against the actor, but he has evidently lost the respect of his children, especially Pax, who called Pitt a “f – – king awful human being” in a deleted Father’s Day post. And yet, despite it all, she has no qualms about living it all again, including marrying her ex-husband.

Jolie had alleged that Pitt physically assaulted her and their children – he choked one child and struck another in the face when they rushed to protect her. The allegation was investigated by the FBI, but the Bullet Train actor is yet to face any charges. While no one knows the full story of what prompted the former Hollywood “It” couple to tie the knot after being in a relationship for a decade, a source had claimed back in 2019 that the Wanted star never wanted to get married in the first. But allegedly, “Brad pressured her” into saying yes.

But when she sat down for a chat with Hello! magazine, she shared that she would repeat it all, every good and bad decision, because she is who she is because of them. 

“I’d repeat every single one of them, and I would still get my tattoos! I’m a big believer in no regrets because you wouldn’t be who you are without mistakes, even big ones.”

For Jolie, the good lesson from her marriage to Pitt was learning to love herself and embracing the vulnerable part of herself.

Though the ex-couple remains tangled in a separate legal battle over their tly owned French winery, Château Miraval, they reached a divorce settlement in December 2024, thus ending the dispute that has been going on for eight long years. While official details of the settlement are not public knowledge, it is presumed that Jolie gained custody of all six kids while Pitt has been granted visitation rights.

David Fincher has been tapped to direct a sequel to Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, with Quentin Tarantino on board as a script writer and a leading man in Brad Pitt.

That’s enough buzzy names to send cinephiles into a downright tizzy (David and Quentin and Brad, oh my!), but those aren’t the only titillating details surrounding the film. It has been reported that the project, a follow-up to the original, Tarantino-directed first installment released in 2019, is being eyed for distribution on Netflix, where Fincher has a first-look deal. We also know that Pitt’s starring role will see him reprise the character of Cliff Booth, the Hollywood stuntman who appeared in the first film.

However, Pitt’s former co-stars, Leonardo DiCaprio and Margot Robbie, are not thought to have roles in Fincher’s sequel. Pitt-lovers (that came out wrong) have much to celebrate about this project, since his portrayal of Cliff scored him a Best ing Actor Oscar and his past collaborations with Fincher — including Fight Club, Se7en and The Curious Case of Benjamin Button — are among his most acclaimed to date. 

Even with all that, there’s still more lore surrounding this sequel (buckle up, Fincherheads!). If it lands on Netflix, the film will mark Fincher’s third collaboration with the streamer, with his first two movies, Mank and The Killer, both sharing themes with Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. What’s more, the sequel will be among the very few films that Tarantino has written but not directed, ing that exclusive club alongside Tony Scott’s True Romance and Robert Rodriguez’s From Dusk till Dawn.

News of the project comes after Tarantino scrapped plans for what would have been his 10th (and supposedly final) movie, The Movie Critic. While dreams of that project have been all-but dashed, Pitt was attached to star in The Movie Critic as some version of Cliff, who we’ll thankfully still get to see, albeit in the Fincher-directed sequel. Naturally, a project of this caliber attracted the attention of legions of movie buffs, who took to social media to respond to what will undoubtedly be splayed all over their Letterboxd s soon enough.

Even with all the details we do know, what’s less clear is the title of the film, which hasn’t yet been announced. Call me basic, but I would simply love it if they went for the completely obvious choice that is Twice Upon a Time in Hollywood. Regardless of where they land on the title, best believe I’m going to be insufferable on Letterboxd when this movie finally arrives, whenever that might be.

In an audacious crime that would make the actor’s con artist character from the Ocean’s movies blush, a woman has been scammed into divorcing her millionaire husband and handing over the equivalent of $800,000 dollars after she was fooled into thinking she was dating Brad Pitt.

The 53-year-old French woman, who is going by the name Anne in the media, revealed to French network TF1 that her ordeal began back in September 2023. Shortly following an expensive ski trip to Tignes, which she had posted about on her socials, Anne received an Instagram message from Jane Etta Pitt, aka Brad Pitt’s mom… Or, at least, someone claiming to be her. “Mrs. Pitt” gushed over how she thought Anne would be a great fit for her son, who as the world knew was freshly split from Angelina Jolie and looking for love. “It is a woman like you that my son needs,” Jane Etta said.

The next day, a different ed Anne — and this time it appeared to be the Fight Club icon himself. “Hello Anne, my mother told me a lot about you. I would like to know more,” said “Brad,” using — we can only assume — the same pick-up line he used on both Angelina and Jennifer Aniston in the past, the sly dog.

Anne itted that she was “flabbergasted” to be speaking with the famous Hollywood star, and any misgivings she might’ve had were quickly swept away by their fast friendship. “At first, I thought it was fake, but I could not understand what was happening to me,” she recalled. “After that, we would each other every day and we became friends.”

To be fair to Anne, she was in an emotionally vulnerable place at the time. As per what she told Sud Ouest, her marriage to a millionaire entrepreneur 19 years her senior was in “tatters,” so when “Pitt” started love-bombing her with sweet talk and poems she fell hard. “There are so few men who write you this kind of thing. I liked the man I was talking to. He knew how to talk to women, it was always very well done,” Anne told BFMTV.

After divorcing her husband, Anne embarked on what she believed to be a clandestine long-distance relationship with the A-lister. He even proposed to her and began sending her pricey handbags, although she had to pay a steep customs charge every time — amounting to 9,000 euros in total. Proving that she was willing to cough up the cash, the pretend Pitt kicked things up a gear.

Anne’s fraudster soon claimed that he desperately needed funds to proceed with kidney cancer treatment, as he was apparently unable to pay for it himself because Jolie had frozen his bank s amid their divorce. Anne was, of course, only too eager to help and ended up transferring him 830,000 euros for his life-saving treatment.

During this time, “Pitt” still refused to take calls, but he did send her a variety of photos intended to do away with doubts she might’ve had. These took the form of pictures supposedly showing Pitt recuperating in hospital or even taken during his surgeries. Although widely being reported as AI-generated, the obviously fake photos look much more like good old-fashioned bad Photoshop jobs.

All in all, Anne was duped for almost an entire year until she finally realized the truth upon seeing media coverage of the real Pitt stepping out with his new girlfriend, Ines de Ramon. She went to the police with her story and the authorities launched an investigation in summer 2024. It turns out Anne is the third European woman to fall victim to the Fake Brad Pitt scheme. It’s currently unclear if she managed to get her money back.

Just to add to Anne’s misfortune, it seems many on the internet are offering her scant sympathy. Given the comically implausible images her crooked beau sent her, some just can’t fathom how Anne fell for the scam so completely.

As hilariously unconvincing as these poorly proportioned pics of Pitt are to those of us on the outside, clearly Anne was not in the right frame of mind when all this transpired and whoever ‘AI Brad Pitt’ is cruelly exploited that. At least, Anne is now free of his influence and is receiving the help she needs. As per BFMTV she is currently hospitalized at a clinic and is being treated for severe depression.

Angelina Jolie has made another confession amid the rumored tension between her and ex-husband Brad Pitt just as their divorce was officially finalized. Now she’s claimed that during a tumultuous chapter of her life, her “light was dimmed.”

The 49-year-old actress reflected on her struggles and artistic rediscovery while preparing to portray opera legend Maria Callas in her new movie. In an interview with Times Radio, released on Monday, Jan. 6, but filmed late last year, the Oscar winner got candid about how the role forced her to confront parts of herself that had been buried.

“I think you’re an artist, and you go through different things in life, and you wonder if certain parts of you have shut down, or who you are, what you have inside of you, and if your lights dimmed, and if you have less to contribute, or if you don’t know your yourself, and so to push and rediscover things and try for things that I hadn’t ever tried,” Jolie shared. She went on to disclose that she’s thankful for Maria because it “pushed” her to face “something that terrified [her]” at this point in her life.

Throughout the promotional run for her new film, Jolie had dropped several subtle digs against her ex-husband, so it wouldn’t be surprising if her latest statement also had something to do with him. In November 2024, the actress said “nothing else matters” to her, aside from her children with Pitt. The exes share six kids: Maddox, 23, Pax, 21, Zahara, 19, Shiloh, 18, and twins Vivienne and Knox, 16.

Then, in early December, she seemingly threw some major shade against her Mr. & Mrs. Smith co-star when she said in another promotional interview that “being a parent is everything” to her. Jolie seemingly made those remarks as Pitt remained estranged from their children.

Pitt was granted t custody in 2021. However, their kids have mostly stayed with their mother since then. In recent months, the Ad Astra actor struggled to find a way to be with his children, with one insider revealing this past December that he was “begging” for some time with them on or before his 61st birthday on Dec. 18, or during the Christmas holidays. Unfortunately, he was unable to fulfill his wish since the kids had been preoccupied with their mother’s packed working schedule.

Maddox and Max have been working with their mom on her new Hollywood projects. Vivienne collaborated with Jolie on the Broadway musical adaptation of The Outsiders. Meanwhile, Knox and Zahara took turns attending red carpet events with their mom. As for Shiloh, she’s busy attending dance classes based on her sightings and social media appearances.

Despite the longstanding issues between them, Jolie and Pitt finally settled their divorce about eight years after the actress filed for the dissolution of their marriage in 2016. “This is just one part of a long ongoing process that started eight years ago. Frankly, Angelina is exhausted, but she is relieved this one part is over,” her attorney, James Simon, told People about the settlement that took place on Dec. 30. Her Times Radio interview was reportedly filmed before that.

Maria’s story directly connected to a side of Jolie that gave her a clear pathway to breathe new life into Callas in a way that both introduces her to a new audience and clears up any lingering misunderstanding of her public persona. From the public criticism, her hidden illnesses, the vitriol toward her — all these are things Jolie has had to deal with as well in a very notable and public way. But what stuck with most of us was when Jolie shared with the magazine that, despite all these things she’s dealt with, it’s people who say one thing and mean another that remain her biggest pet peeve. Although a source commenting on this divorce told People that Jolie has vowed never to speak ill of Pitt in a public or private setting, it’s hard to imagine that her sharing her dislike for liars doesn’t at least take a subliminal jab at her former husband in a “if the shoe fits” kind of way.

Jolie herself may have taken the high road in this elongated divorce, but that doesn’t mean that her lawyers, business partners, and even shared children with Pitt have taken the same route. Jolie’s close confidants have accused Pitt of unbecoming behaviors such as alleged embezzlement from their tly owned vineyard and a vindictive PR war that maligned Jolie’s name.

The latter of which fans finally get some context of how it actually goes down thanks to the Baldoni-Lively controversy. Of course, Pitt’s representatives deny all these accusations, but considering his adult children keep dropping his name, it suggests there’s at least some truth to his accused misbehavior. So Jolie saying that liars are exactly the type of person she cannot stand certainly checks out.

Jolie and Pitt’s finalized divorce is just one part of their legal face-offs. Pitt has sued Jolie and her business partners for their unauthorized sale and purchase of her share — Jolie’s business partners are also countersuing for $250 million.

In situations like this, from the outside looking in, it’s difficult to even take any sides because it’s clear that these long, drawn-out legal and publicity battles are taking a toll on everyone involved. We can only hope that after the divorce, Jolie’s career can now take precedence and she — who seems to overly prioritize protecting her children — can now finally shield herself and them from the liars that keep circling around her life. Maria is currently streaming on Netflix, and Angelina Jolie has already garnered a Golden Globe nomination for her portrayal of Maria Callas for what we consider her best performance ever.

James Simon, Jolie’s lawyer, released a statement about the divorce agreement, saying that his client is “exhausted” but “relieved.”

“More than eight years ago, Angelina filed for divorce from Mr. Pitt. She and the children left all of the properties they had shared with Mr. Pitt, and since that time she has focused on finding peace and healing for their family.”

Jolie’s lawyers have alleged that Brad Pitt used the winery as his personal piggy bank. They claim that Pitt funneled the company’s funds into vanity projects that had no financial viability. Jolie’s representatives also allege that while Pitt was directing the CEO of the winery to divert the funds to his own personal ventures, they approached the CEO and confronted him about the funneling of funds to Pitt. The CEO simply responded, ‘What am I to do? He’s my boss.’

To make matters even grimmer, Tenute del Mondo — a subsidiary of the company that bought Angelina Jolie’s shares in the winery — also claimed Pitt harbored “criminal intent” in the case.

“Tenute pleads that neither [Brad] nor Chateau Miraval’s CEO had the authority to divert property to side businesses or personal expenses. Tenute also pleads criminal intent because [Brad and his company] deliberately concealed their misappropriation.

Tenute alleges that [Brad] and Mondo Bongo have misappropriated millions of dollars of Chateau Miraval funds that should have been distributed to Tenute to their side business, Miraval Studios, in which they hold a 40% interest but in which Tenute has a mere 5% interest.”

Reportedly, Brad Pitt’s representatives issued the usual run-of-the-mill celebrity response to the allegations, calling Jolie’s countersuit a ‘desperate attempt.’ Pitt’s lawyers called it just another effort to exploit the California legal system and claimed the case should be heard overseas. However, Tenute del Mondo disagreed, arguing that Pitt directed the company from California.

The case seemingly will drag on in court for a long time because the two don’t seem likely to see eye to eye on anything anytime soon.

Maddox, 23, is reportedly involved in Jolie’s new movie, and this feels like yet another gut punch to her ex-husband, who’s apparently been “begging” for time with their children on his birthday and the holiday season.

Jolie, 49, appeared unbothered by their ongoing family drama as she stepped in front of the camera to shoot scenes at a wig shop and a hospital courtyard that day. Clad in a chic leather coat over a cozy gray sweater and cuffed pants, Jolie looked every inch the movie star and in her element, as seen in the photos obtained by the Daily Mail.

Meanwhile, Maddox was seen casually strolling around the Parisian set in an all-black ensemble, embracing his role as the third assistant director.
