The King continues to receive weekly treatment for his condition.]]>
<![CDATA[

Things have not been the same at Buckingham Palace ever since King Charles and Kate Middleton were diagnosed with cancer in early 2024, as though a cloud is hanging over the kingdom. And while the Princess of Wales has since announced her remission, the reigning monarch continues to battle the worst of his condition. 5ct3b

Based on previous updates from the palace, Charles made progress with the help of weekly treatments. However, in his most recent and candid ission yet, the King laid bare the terrifying reality of his cancer battle. In a penned message, Charles said being diagnosed with cancer is a “daunting and at times frightening experience.” After becoming one of the 1,000 individuals diagnosed with the condition daily in the U.K., his eyes opened to the harsh reality cancer patients face, and he has since developed profound empathy for other people walking the same harrowing path as he is.

King Charles discovered his condition following an enlarged prostate procedure. However, the type of cancer he was diagnosed with was not disclosed to the public. A palace insider revealed in December 2024 that the reason for keeping it a secret was for the King’s health battle to connect with everyone and open the doors for more conversations about cancer in general and spread awareness about its growing number of cases.

However, in the midst of Charles’ altruistic gesture lies his silent cries out of fear for the worst. During the holiday season, the cancer-stricken royal made headlines for his desire to see his estranged grandkids with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. He did not spend a lot of time with Archie when the couple was still working as senior royals, and he only met Lilibet once at the Platinum Jubilee of the late queen in 2022.

The fact that he wanted to reconnect with his grandchildren over the holidays speaks volumes about how Charles could be anticipating the negative outcome of his health battle. A palace insider seemingly confirmed this by saying that the King had been planning to step down to make it easy for Prince William to ascend. “Charles waited so long to become king, but at this point, no one could blame him for giving up the throne so he could live the last months of his life in peace,” the insider added.

Focusing on the positives 1j42y

Interestingly, King Charles did not show any hint of weakness or defeat in his published message. Instead, he highlighted the positive aspect of his diagnosis, saying, “As one among those statistics myself, I can vouch for the fact that it can also be an experience that brings into sharp focus the very best of humanity.” In his case, he’s focused his attention on his role as King, while at the same time exerting more effort in spreading the word about cancer.

“It has certainly given me an even deeper appreciation of the extraordinary work undertaken by the remarkable organizations and individuals [to spread cancer awareness],” he said before noting that based on his observation, “the darkest moments of illness can be illuminated by the greatest comion.”

Charles wrapped up his message by thanking all healthcare professionals, researchers, and volunteers in the cancer community for their unwavering determination to offer the best therapies and holistic care they can extend to patients. “While every patient’s journey may be different, together you are ensuring that a cancer diagnosis need never mean facing the future without hope and ,” he said.

According to The Mirror, Charles’ penned message was released as part of the program for the Buckingham Palace event on Wednesday, April 30, which gathered several cancer charities and personalities living with cancer, including actor Richard E. Grant, radio DJ Adele Roberts, and television star Ashley Cain. The parents of the late journalist and cancer charity campaigner Dame Deborah James were also in attendance.

Is there really a link between alcohol consumption and cancer risk? Oh great. More good news.]]>
<![CDATA[

If something is delightful, delicious, or distinctly enjoyable, you can bet it’s bad for you. Candy is bad for your teeth, bad for your waistline, and can cause diabetes; obsessing over your electronics is bad for your eyes, your sleep, and your stress level; excessive gaming can lead to depression and mental health issues; and coffee can increase your cholesterol.

There seem to be downsides to damn near everything, but at least a nice cold drink at the end of the day makes all the bleak news feel a bit brighter. Unless, of course, that same glass of whiskey is likewise damaging our heath. Fresh studies about the downsides of liquor are released near-annually, but the latest paints a particularly concerning picture of how excessive — and even infrequent — alcohol consumption can affect the body.

Can drinking alcohol increase risk of cancer? 5c2w6d

In terrible news for those of us fresh off a New Years Eve binge, there has in fact been a link identified between alcohol consumption and cancer. U.S. Surgeon General Dr. Vivek Murthy announced as much in an advisory issued at the start of 2025, informing the nation that our weekend dish sessions are likely putting us at far higher risk of eventual health issues.

We already know alcohol consumption can lead to an increased risk of heart disease, high blood pressure, liver disease, stroke, digestive issues, and negative effects on our immune systems, not to mention how it affects our weight, productivity, and sleep. But, as if we needed more motivation for Dry January, a link between alcohol and cancer has now been definitively outlined.

According to the Jan. 3 advisory, consumption of alcohol is officially the third leading preventable cause of cancer in the United States. It closely follows tobacco and obesity. That’s not all either, so brace yourselves, fellow booze lovers.

The risk of a number of cancers — including breast, throat, and mouth cancer — may be increased by the consumption of just one drink per day. Even less. Which means that even a half glass of wine during dinner can be detrimental to your health.

The link between alcohol and cancer isn’t a brand-new revelation, but because so many Americans ignore this looming reality, the surgeon general is working to underline the message. In the released advisory, it notes that a number of additional factors play into cancer risk, but if you’re already prone to the disease — something that can be impacted by your biological background, environment, and even economic state — that risk is heavily increased with each extra drink you consume.

“Alcohol is a well-established, preventable cause of cancer responsible for about 100,000 cases of cancer and 20,000 cancer deaths annually in the United States – greater than the 13,500 alcohol-associated traffic crash fatalities per year in the U.S. – yet the majority of Americans are unaware of this risk,” Murthy explained in a statement accompanying the advisory. “This Advisory lays out steps we can all take to increase awareness of alcohol’s cancer risk and minimize harm.”

There's empty-headed, and then there's this dunce.]]>
<![CDATA[

With only a few weeks separating us from the 2024 election, America’s worst politicians are working overtime to rewrite the narrative and twist U.S. voters into their favor.

Marjorie Taylor Greene and Lauren Boebert, both of whom face increasing pushback from state-side citizens with active grey matter, are at the front of the pack, as they lie and evade their way through the final weeks of their campaigns. Greene, well-known for her reliance on conspiracy theories to rile voters into a frenzy, has turned her gaze from those Democrat-controlled hurricanes to a much more widespread danger: Cancer.

That’s right, MTG has officially discovered the true cause of cancer, actual centuries after the disease was first detected. Apparently all we needed to cure the devastating disease was the input of a bleach blonde blockhead, because Greene quickly pinned the blame on a familiar culprit. That’s right, folks, all those cancer cases? They’re actually the result of the COVID-19 vaccines we’ve been injecting ourselves with over the last few years.

My mom’s cancer, which was successfully eradicated in 2004? Cause by the COVID vaccines. My grandmother’s, which was detected just months ahead of my mother’s? Also clearly a vaccine case. Even Christina Applegate’s 2008 breast cancer diagnosis was clearly caused by the vaccines developed across 2020. It all finally makes sense.

Obviously, Greene is talking out of her you-kn0w-what with the absurd claim that cancer cases are linked to the COVID vaccine, but who’s surprised. This woman has built an entire career on frightening falsehoods and absurd, bombastic claims, and she’s getting desperate. Pulling out the big dogs — or the big C — is quite clearly a last-ditch effort to convince American voters that only Greene and Daddy Trump have the power to stop government-controlled disasters and COVID-caused disease.

Nevermind that cancer was first detected in 3000 BC — you know, when Troy and the oldest proto-urban development in Jordan were founded. The earliest distributed COVID vaccines, meanwhile, were reaching Americans in December of 2020. That’s only a gap of a few thousand years, so Greene’s math definitely checks out.

Now, it’s quite clear that Greene wasn’t making an attempt to pin all cancer cases, particularly historically, on the COVID-19 vaccines, but if she’s going to act like a brainless idiot, we’re going to treat her like one. Greene is actually indicating, in her pathetic fearmongering tweet, that the COVID-19 vaccines caused an uptick in cancer cases over the last few years.

It is true that more instances of cancer have been detected in 2024 than in any year previously, but that was also true for 2023. And 2022, 2021, 2020, and every year previous. It’s an unfortunate fact that cancer cases have been on an exponential rise for decades — essentially since we first started tracking the disease. This is a result of a huge number of factors, including plenty that have yet to be discovered, but none of them are — so far as researchers have found — linked to the vaccines.

Cancer is a horror. It has likely affected almost every single person reading this story in some way or another, and Greene knows that. She understands the deep scars cancer leaves on individuals and families, and she’s trying to use that pain against us. She’s trying to replace facts with falsehoods, and for at least a few people, it will work.

Sammy Davis, Jr. was a singular talent. He was one of the rare entertainers who could sing, dance, act, and joke with the absolute best in every field. He could do it all and then some, dominating pop culture for the better part of seven decades.

Sammy Davis, Jr. had about as full a life as any entertainer could hope to have. That said, his cause of death has experienced renewed interest due to the Starz documentary Autopsy: The Last Hours of Sammy Davis, Jr. To make sense of what happened during the entertainer’s final years, we decided to revisit his autopsy, so we could provide the answers that fans are looking for.

Sammy Davis, Jr. suffered from Laryngeal cancer 3h6qd

Sammy Davis, Jr. was a chain smoker, like so many mid-20th century superstars. He regularly smoked alongside Dean Martin, Frank Sinatra, and the rest of the Rat Pack when they were putting on shows in Las Vegas. Unfortunately, the entertainer’s habit caught up to him in his later years.

A tumor was discovered in Sammy Davis, Jr.’s throat in 1989. It was diagnosed as being cancerous, and the entertainer was treated with eight weeks of radiation therapy. According to the Oral Cancer Foundation, though, another tumor surfaced in 1990. An examination of what was initially thought to be a gum infection revealed an even bigger tumor, and this one was deemed inoperable. It was diagnosed as Laryngeal cancer. Davis, Jr. died as a result on May 16, 1990. He was 64 years old.

Sammy Davis, Jr.’ official cause of death was Laryngeal cancer. There has been some confusion, however, as to whether a car accident was partially to blame for his untimely death. This is not the case. The reason there has been some confusion is that Davis was involved in a serious accident earlier in his life, which resulted in him losing an eye.

Daily Bulletin reports that Davis got in a crash on November 19, 1954 outside of San Bernardino, California. The entertainer suffered injuries to both his legs and his left eye. The injuries to his legs healed, but the eye did not. He wore an eye patch for six months following the accident, and friend Frank Sinatra helped out by covering the extensive medical bills. Davis would adopt a glass eye for the rest of his career.

Rumors persist that some Thing has invaded Kurt Russell's body.]]>
<![CDATA[

Kurt Russell has been so iconic for so long that we might actually be taking him for granted. The actor has been a staple since the 1960s, and has effectively dominated every era of Hollywood since.

Russell did a film with Elvis Presley, then played Elvis in a TV miniseries. He was the muse of iconic horror director John Carpenter during the 1980s, and the mysterious Mr. Nobody in the Fast and Furious saga. He can do it all, which is what made the recent internet claims about him so unnerving.

Kurt Russell was the focus of a recent death hoax, so we’re here to set the record straight on his status (yes, alive) and the current state of his health as he nears his mid-70s.

Kurt Russell is alive. He’s 73 years old, and still going strong alongside partner Goldie Hawn. The death hoax that surfaced in August 2023, however, claimed that the actor died under mysterious circumstances. There was mention of the “scene of the accident” and an “investigation” into Russell’s death, though the YouTube video that started the hoax did not provide details. As with most online hoaxes, the lack of specificity was a tell tale sign.

According to Yahoo, the viral YouTube video used AI narration to refer to Kurt Russell as a “late actor,” which is where all the confusion started. Fortunately, the video and the linked to it have been taken down. Kurt Russell is arguably one of the worst actors to stage a death hoax for, however, given how often he works.

In the year since the hoax materialized, Russell has had a starring role in the Max science fiction series Monarch: Legacy of Monsters. He also signed on to voice Papa Smurf in the family film, The Smurfs Movie, and will co-star alongside Matthew McConaughey in the crime drama The Rivals of Amziah King. If he were dead, fans would know it.

Does Kurt Russell have Peutz-Jeghers Syndrome? 1n6s6x

Bizarrely, fake articles have continued to swirl online about Kurt Russell in 2024. In July, an article claimed that the actor was hospitalized and in serious condition following an unforeseen health scare. No information as to where he’s staying, or what his current status is. No legitimate sources, either. Other articles have gone as far as to claim that Russell is suffering from Peutz-Jeghers syndrome (PJS).

Peutz-Jeghers syndrome (PJS) is an autosomal genetic disorder that’s characterized by benign tumors forming on the mouth and face. An unfounded article from the website New Idea (not a suspiciously vague title at all) claimed that Russell’s face was being “attacked” by flesh-eating bacteria. Once again, not true, and the actor does not even suffer from PJS to begin with.

As far as the public is concerned, Kurt Russell is healthy until he says otherwise.

What type of cancer did Bill Walton have? 5s2w4h https://wegotthiscovered.moviesx.org/sports/what-type-of-cancer-did-bill-walton-have/ https://wegotthiscovered.moviesx.org/sports/what-type-of-cancer-did-bill-walton-have/#respond <![CDATA[Jesse Torres]]> Thu, 30 May 2024 08:46:46 +0000 <![CDATA[Sports]]> <![CDATA[basketball]]> <![CDATA[Bill Walton]]> <![CDATA[Cancer]]> <![CDATA[death]]> <![CDATA[NBA]]> https://wegotthiscovered.moviesx.org/?p=1701882 <![CDATA[
Bill Walton was a beloved figure in NBA history. Find out what caused the hall of fame athlete's death.]]>
<![CDATA[

Bill Walton was an absolute legend. He dominated college basketball during the 1970s, and went on to have a hall of fame career with various NBA teams throughout the 1980s.

After his playing days were over, Walton connected with subsequent generations as a sportscaster. His eccentric delivery and colorful anecdotes only served to bolster his reputation as a singular presence in the sport, and he took home an well-earned Emmy Award in 1991.

Sadly, Walton’s journey came to an end on May 27, 2024. The basketball mainstay died at age 71 in his beloved San Diego, California. His career, impressive as it was, was hampered by health issues on a consistent basis. This led many to question what the case of Walton’s death was when it was initially announced by the NBA (who had the permission of the Walton family).

The NBA issued a statement following Bill Walton’s death. In the statement, cancer is cited to be the cause:

May 27, 2024- Two-time NBA champion and Naismith Basketball Hall of Famer Bill Walton ed away today at the age of 71 following a prolonged battle with cancer. He was surrounded by his family.

The league failed to mention the specific type of cancer Walton suffered from near the end of his life, but the New York Times provided additional details. The publication reached out to the NBA, and was subsequently told that Walton died from colon cancer. Colon cancer is one of the most common and deadly forms of cancer, according to Colorectal Cancer Alliance.

It results in nearly one million deaths per year, and ranks in the top five most common cause of cancer in the United States alone. Furthermore, the average age of diagnosis for men is 66, which aligns with Walton’s age at the time of his death.

Bill Walton never spoke publicly about his cancer diagnosis, but he was forthright when it came to the other physical ailments he dealt with throughout his life. During a guest stint on the NPR show All Things Considered, the all-star noted that his height and physicality on the court made it very difficult for him to sustain long periods of health.

“My challenges in a life that has been defined by meteoric rises and climbs to the top, the top of the highest mountains, and then these catastrophic health crises that would just take me down,” he told the listeners. “I was born with structural, congenital defects in my feet. I tore up my knee for the first time when I was 14.” Walton went on to detail the harrowing period in which is spine collapsed during a 2008 trip, and the road to recovery that he deemed the “longest stretch” of his life.

“I couldn’t move. I couldn’t think,” he recalled. “I couldn’t eat. I couldn’t drink. I couldn’t sleep. I couldn’t do anything. And then I had my spine surgery – seven years, six weeks and four days ago. And now I am back from the dead.” Despite these serious complications, Bill Walton managed to stay active. Walton loved cycling, and journalist Jonathan Maus claimed that Walton still found a way to hop on his bike and put miles in despite his physical limitations. Maus told Bike Portland that he put the ex-NBA star in touch with a friend of his, who noted: “He can hardly walk, but he can ride like crazy.”

“Ride like crazy” is how Walton got through his entire life. He will be missed.
