On April 20, 2024, Christina Hendricks said “yes” to George Bianchini during their marriage ceremony. The couple has been together since they met on a television set.

With roles ranging from horror hits such as The Strangers: Prey at Night to beloved Pixar animations like Toy Story 4, Hendricks has done a little bit of everything in her prolific Hollywood career. However, her most iconic role is unquestionably that of Joan Holloway, the officer manager of Mad Men’s Sterling Cooper advertising agency. A favorite of fans and critics alike, Joan brought Hendricks six Emmy nominations for Outstanding ing Actress in a Drama Series, an incredible feat considering the series ran for seven seasons. Plus, her talent contributed to Mad Men scoring two Emmys for Outstanding Ensemble in a Drama Series, with three nominations in the same category.

Hendricks’ acting skills gave the star more than fame and fortune; thanks to her job, she also met her husband. That’s because Hendricks and Bianchini crossed paths for the first time during the shooting of Good Girls.

How did Christina Hendricks meet her husband, George Bianchini?

From 2018 to 2022, Hendricks appeared in NBC’s crime comedy-drama series Good Girls as Elizabeth “Beth” Boland, the ringleader of a group of suburban women turned into criminals. Behind the scenes, the actress was flirting with Bianchini, who worked in the same production.

Bianchini is a camera operator who splits his time between New York and Los Angeles. He has been involved in dozens of high-profile movies and TV series. For instance, he worked as a camera operator in TV shows such as The Man in the High Castle and David Fincher’s Manhunt while helping make cinema magic in Thanks for Sharing and P.S. I Love You. So, just like his now-wife, Bianchini is used to braving the Hollywood jungle and mingling among the stars.

Hendricks and Bianchini began dating in 2020 while Good Girls was still airing. Their engagement happened on March 10, 2023, when they simultaneously proposed, underlining their deep and mutual love. It would take over a year to plan the perfect wedding, which finally happened last Saturday.

The ceremony occurred at the historic Napoleon House in New Orleans, a place of extreme significance for the couple. New Orleans is located between New York and Los Angeles, and since Hendricks and Bianchini had a previous history with the city, they used it as a middle-way place to meet when they were dating. Celebrating their union in New Orleans is a charming decision and a confirmation that there is no dearth of love in this marriage.

The 10 best Bruce Greenwood movies and TV shows https://wegotthiscovered.moviesx.org/movies/the-best-bruce-greenwood-movies-and-tv-shows/ https://wegotthiscovered.moviesx.org/movies/the-best-bruce-greenwood-movies-and-tv-shows/#respond Fri, 13 Oct 2023 21:44:04 +0000 https://wegotthiscovered.moviesx.org/?p=1604250 The veteran star has graced our screens in a variety of ways, but which of his performances shine the brightest?]]>

The decorated Canadian actor Bruce Greenwood is one of those names you might not recognize, but there’s no doubt at some point you’ve been wowed by his on-screen talent. He’s appeared in all sorts of classic films like I, Robot, as well as massively popular television shows like Mad Men. But in what roles did he show the very best of his talent? Read on to find out the 10 best Bruce Greenwood movies and TV shows!

Elephant Song

This tense psychological thriller sees Greenwood take on the role of a psychiatrist who discovers that a severely ill patient may hold the key to finding a missing colleague. As the film unfolds, this mental game of cat and mouse reaches a disturbing climax, with all of the complex emotions at play shown wonderfully in Greenwood’s excellent performance. He is undoubtedly the highlight of an already captivating film.

John From Cincinnati

Greenwood stars as a surfing purist and surf shop owner, Mitch Yost, in this short-lived oceanside HBO drama. Although it only ran for one season, the series was noted for its unique take on all kinds of topics, as well as the intriguing way it wove fantastical elements into an otherwise normal setting. Greenwood is excellent as Yost, making the audience root for what is objectively a prickly character.

Being Julia

Although Greenwood is only a ing character in this adaptation of Theatre by W. Somerset Maugham, he is fantastic in his limited screentime as Lord Charles. His character is the former lover of the eponymous Julia, and eventually ends up becoming close friends with her after he reveals he’s gay. A funny, smart film that’s made all the better by its sterling performances, including Greenwood’s. Die Hard fan favorite Jeremy Irons also stars.

Star Trek

When J.J Abrams was given the chance to get his hands on the iconic IP that is Star Trek, many trekkies were pretty happy with the choice, and their optimism was proven correct. Star Trek (2009) is one of the best reboots in the sci-fi world, and part of that is thanks to Greenwood’s excellent performance as captain of the Enterprise Christopher Pike. He does a truly fantastic job of embodying such an iconic character.

The Sweet Hereafter

This emotionally devestating movie follows the aftermath of a tragic school bus accident in which fourteen kids are killed. The traumatic event further deepens divisions in the town, sometimes even between family . Greenwood plays a grieving parent and is magnetic, really making you feel his pain. Women Talking director Sarah Polley also stars alongside him.

St. Elsewhere

Greenwood was a fan favorite as Dr Seth Griffin on this iconic American medical drama series. Although it never gained a massive following, the gritty show developed the sort of devoted fanbase that nowadays would have probably earned it an extra couple of seasons from online fan pressure. Griffin was only on the show for seasons 5 and 6, but managed to be one of the best performers in a talented ensemble cast that includes big names like Ed Begley Jr.

Thirteen Days

Canadian veteran Greenwood took on the role of one of the most iconic American presidents of all time in this film that dramatizes the events around the Cuban Missile Crisis, from the perspective of the U.S. government. Although it’s a tense watch, the pacing never feels off, and Greenwood does such an excellent job as Kennedy that he earned himself a Satellite Award for Best ing Actor.

The Resident

Greenwood’s most recent consistent television role saw him dive back to the world of medical dramas in The Resident. He plays the part of the hospitals chief of surgery (and later CEO) Randolph Bell, and is fantastic as this complex and occasionally morally dubious character, showcasing just why he’s had such a long and successful career.

Mad Men

This legendary show about the world of advertising in the mid-20th century was critically acclaimed and ultra-popular, and Greenwood lived up to all that hype during his guest appearances in the final season as Richard Burghoff. His character is a wealthy real estate mogul who gets involved with Joan, with pretty sad consequences for the former Sterling Cooper office manager.

Gerald’s Game

Greenwood is utterly brilliant as the eponymous Gerald in this Stephen King adaptation on Netflix. Although his co-star Carla Gugino is the real star of the show, he is an excellent foil as the angry husband (and later ghostly apparition) that taunts and haunts her character. A tense but unmissable watch.

For cord-cutters who could do without the cable experience but still want to enjoy the suave series Mad Men, there are options out there for viewing the show via digital means. However, just what are the available options?

In case you slept on it, Mad Men is one of the most acclaimed dramas of the 21st century that stands alongside Breaking Bad as one of AMC’s most prestigious television experiences. The show cemented actor Jon Hamm as the charismatic but deeply flawed Don Draper, a 1960s advertising professional. Thanks to Elisabeth Moss’ Peggy Olson, an up-and-comer at Sterling Cooper who is essentially a co-protagonist, we are given a feminist deconstruction of the patriarchic society in which the firm operates. It’s a show known as much for its intellect as it is for its jaw-dropping dramatic twists and unflinching look into the somewhat raunchy underbelly that defined a pre-hippie generation.

Where can I stream Mad Men?

Now that you’re no doubt completely on board for checking out Mad Men yourself, there are numerous outlets for you to catch up on the series that originally ran from 2007-2015. For one thing, you could always buy individual episodes or entire seasons via platforms such as Amazon and Vudu, which offer all seven seasons. Episodes usually cost $1.99 with whole seasons going for $9.99. However, there is another option: streaming.

Currently, Mad Men is not available via a typical outlet like Netflix. However, if you’re willing to expand your horizons, you could subscribe to AMC Plus, a proprietary streaming platform for the cable network that gains you access to not only Mad Men but also other quality programs like The Walking Dead Dead City and Creepshow as well as great movies constantly added in a regular rotation of content.

The starting price for AMC Plus — which includes full access to Shudder, Sundance Now, and IFC Films Unlimited — begins at $4.99 per month, though you’ll have to contend with ads. There is an ad-free tier for $8.99 per month which has the added benefit of being able to content to your device. It also works out to be a cheaper monthly rate, at $6.99 per month, if you choose the tier via an annual bill of $83.88. Whatever the case, any subscription you get comes with six live TV channels as well.

To use AMC Plus, you can experience it via a web browser on your computer or the AMC Plus app to your device. You can also find the AMC Plus app within your main content platform such as Apple, Roku, and Xfinity. What’s more, you may also sign up for AMC Plus through Prime Video as a channel add-on.

The 10 best Jon Hamm movies and TV shows, ranked https://wegotthiscovered.moviesx.org/celebrities/the-10-best-jon-hamm-movies-and-tv-shows-ranked/ https://wegotthiscovered.moviesx.org/celebrities/the-10-best-jon-hamm-movies-and-tv-shows-ranked/#respond Mon, 24 Jul 2023 18:35:25 +0000 https://wegotthiscovered.moviesx.org/?p=1543347 The man famous for playing Don Draper made that role his own, but he's starred in a number of other great films and shows.]]>

Although he’s now considered a real A-lister, Jon Hamm was close to giving up on his acting dream after being dropped by his agency in his twenties. Thankfully for lovers of the hunky American, he hung in there, and now has a filmography and awards cabinet that would turn most actors green with envy. He’s probably best known for his time on the period drama Mad Men, where he played the charismatic and morally ambiguous ad-man Don Draper, but he’d managed to build a pretty good resume before that, and since then he’s had the opportunity to show off his talent in a wide number of varying roles. If you’re interested in seeing more of the actor, or just want to know where to begin with his back catalogue, then have a look at our list of the 10 best Jon Hamm movies and TV shows, ranked.

10. Bridesmaids

Hamm is briliant during his relatively small amount of screentime in this raunchy ensemble comedy about female friendship, the fear of being left behind, and the consequences of mixing questionable food with bridal dress shopping. He plays the self-involved, uncaring, but stupidly hot man who is sleeping with the main character, Annie (Kristen Wiig), without offering her any commitment, or even the implication that he sees her as anything more than a bed for the night. While the audience rightfully finds him irritating, he brings just enough charm to the role that you can see why Annie is a little obsessed with him (well, that and his face and body).

9. Good Omens

This supernatural, religious-ish Prime Video series is an adaptation of the ultra-successful novel by Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman (the latter of whom has written the series). Set in modern times, the plot follows a demon named Crowley (David Tennant) and the angel Aziraphale (Michael Sheen) — the two representatives of heaven and hell on Earth — who have agreed to ignore the conflict between their two belief systems and maintain a friendship (and an easy life). However, when they discover the antichrist is on the way, they decide to team up to stop him. Hamm plays the angel Gabriel, who was only mentioned once in the novel but gets a full arc in the series, and the Mad Men star acts the part brilliantly, stealing the limelight whenever he’s on screen.

8. Beirut

Hamm shows his serious side in this political action thriller which is set in the midst of the Lebanese civil war. In it, he plays a former diplomat named Mason Skiles, who is sent to Beirut to rescue his colleague. However, it’s not just his workmate’s life that’s on his mind, as the same group that kidnapped him was responsible for killing his wife. Despite some controversy around the film because of its trailer, which heavily implied a white savior narrative, Beirut itself is surprisingly nuanced, not only in of its characters but also how it handled the controversial region in which it was set. Add a tight, tense plot, and you have a great flick.

7. 30 Rock

Although he’s known for his brooding performances, Hamm showed off his comedic chops multiple times during his guest appearances on Tina Fey’s 30 Rock. His most memorable character was that of Drew, a brief love interest of Liz Lemon’s (Fey). Lemon quickly deduces that, because he’s so handsome, Drew lives in “the bubble” (also the name of the episode) – a place which attractive people inhabit because the world bends to their every whim. As a result, Drew is lacking some basic skills, and some more important ones (he’s a doctor but can’t perform a heimlich, for one). His other performances came in different roles, but he was great throughout his run.

6. Baby Driver

This music-filled action comedy is full of fantastic performances from its principal cast, and Hamm doesn’t disappoint. The film follows a young getaway driver who is looking to escape from his life of crime along with his girlfriend, so they can live together in peace. Hamm plays a former finance worker whose intense drug habit brought him into the criminal world, although a midlife crisis is what’s keeping him there. Hamm’s role was the only part in the entire film written specifically for an actor, as director Edgar Wright and the star are long-time friends.

5. The Report

Another tense historical political drama, The Report (styled as The Torture Report) tells the story of investigations by the senate intelligence committe into the use of torture by the CIA in the wake of 9/11 and the invasion of Iraq. In a turn of events that will shock nobody who’s aware of the CIA’s history of doing stupid, illegal, and dangerous things with far-reaching consequences their agents don’t have the intelligence or empathy to consider, they were in fact torturing people, many of whom were innocent of any suspected crimes. Hamm plays Denis McDonough, who worked under Obama and was one of those responsible for redacting the report. To this day, none of the CIA agents involved in the torture program have been punished, and one was even promoted to head of the agency.

4. Top Gun: Maverick

Good things come to those who wait, and Top Gun: Maverick very much proved that belief. Released decades after the original, this sequel to the classic Tom Cruise action film earned well over a billion dollars at the box office, and critical acclaim to boot. In it, Maverick (Cruise) has become an air force teacher, training the next generation of pilots. But when a name from his past crops up, he realizes he hasn’t quite hung up his wings. Hamm plays the part of the big boss, Vice iral Beau “Cyclone” Simpson, and projects all the power you’d want from the role, while also playing a vital part in the plot.

3. Marjorie Prime

Hamm stars alongside other legends like Geena Davis, Tim Robbins, and Lois Smith in this moving, thought-provoking sci-fi film that delves into questions of memory, love, and what it means to be human. Marjorie (Smith) is an Alzheimer’s patient who utilizes a new technology to bring back a version of her dead husband (Hamm), who then tells her stories about their life together. This is an outstanding bit of cinema, and one that will definitely bring out the tears thanks to its heartfelt plot and the wonderful actors who bring it to life.

2. Black Mirror

While most Christmas episodes of shows are full of joy and redemption, this Black Mirror holiday “special” is anything but light and airy, but with that said “White Christmas” is widely considered to be one of the best episodes in this acclaimed anthology series. Hamm is one of two men who’ve been living in a cabin for five years, and we soon discover he was a sleazy former of an online forum of men who covertly watched each other seduce and sleep with women through the use of an implant that transmits the ’s vision and hearing. It’s then revealed that he and his companion are in a new bit of technology that controls how time is ing, and the man who Hamm’s character has been interacting with is a murderer, who will now be forced to live in a world where one real-life minute feels like a thousand years to him. Bleak and brilliant.

1. Mad Men

AMC hit the jackpot when they cast Hamm as the smooth-talking, hard-boozing and shadowy ad executive Don Draper, who’s the main character in this critically acclaimed series. Draper is charismatic and an advertising natural. In Mad Men we see his career through its ups and downs, while also being introduced to a number of other intriguing, well-rounded characters over the course of seven incredible seasons. Although he’s ed by a dynamite cast that includes January Jones, Elisabeth Moss, and John Slattery, Hamm is often the center of attention, and always impossible to take your eyes off of. There’s a reason he won an Emmy and two Golden Globes for this show.

10 Shows with the most Emmy nominations of all time https://wegotthiscovered.moviesx.org/tv/10-shows-with-the-most-emmy-nominations-of-all-time/ https://wegotthiscovered.moviesx.org/tv/10-shows-with-the-most-emmy-nominations-of-all-time/#respond Thu, 13 Jul 2023 04:45:13 +0000 https://wegotthiscovered.moviesx.org/?p=1534206 Let's take a look at which shows, old and new, have bagged the most Emmy nominations. ]]>

The Emmys are on the way — this year’s nominees have been announced, and we aren’t really that surprised at how the chips have fallen. SuccessionThe Last of UsThe Bear, and White Lotus dominate with the most nominations this year. But these are all relative newcomers, so when it comes to nominations received, let’s look at the big dogs.

The Emmys first started back in 1949 and since then thousands of shows have been nominated, received awards, and have been celebrated. It has become the most prestigious award show in television, celebrating the best and most beloved television series, television movies, miniseries, and talk shows with a variety of categories from acting, to sound design, as well as choreography.

Over the years some shows have just scooped up Emmys like a kid going crazy with mom’s credit card in a candy store. The following list would appear to have two different types of shows featured (with one outlier) that have been of excellent quality and simply run for long stretches allowing them to continue adding accolades and shows that have just been so exceptional, that even over a comparatively short amount of time, they have made their mark.

The below nominations showcase a decent diversity in entertainment, from comedy to drama, reality to high fantasy, they prove that no matter the genre, they are worthy of acclaim.

30 Rock – 103 nominations

Image via NBC

The sitcom written and starring the comedic genius of Tina Fey comes in at tenth place on the list with 103 Emmy nominations. This show came just after she’d finished her impressive tenure at SNL and was also still riding the high of her film Mean Girls. The show received the nomination for Outstanding Comedy Series for all of its seven seasons, winning the award for its first three. Fey herself won the award for Outstanding Lead Actress in 2008 and her work as writer received the Outstanding Writing award for the season eight finale, Last Lunch.

Frasier – 107 nominations

Image via NBC

Starting off as just a side character in another sitcom (which, spoilers, appears below), Frasier got his own eponymous spin-off which had a huge amount of success. The show ran for 264 episodes, featured a slew of guest stars including James Earl Jones, Patti LuPone, Patrick Stewart, and even Bill Gates, many of whom were nominated for Outstanding Guest Actor. Almost every single one of its seasons was nominated for Outstanding Comedy Series, with lead actor Kelsey Grammar and co-star David Hyde Pierce receiving nominations for seasons one through nine.

M*A*S*H – 109 nominations

Image via CBS

M*A*S*H was one of the biggest shows of all time when it aired between 1972-1983. To put it in perspective, its final episode is still the most watched final episode of any television series ever, with 105 million viewers, half the American population at the time. It was the most-watched television broadcast of all time until the 2010 Superbowl. The show was regularly nominated for Outstanding Comedy Series with cast also getting nominations for their performances as they mixed comedic acting with tragic drama.

The Sopranos – 112 nominations

The Sopranos was an audience favorite for its entire run and a great success for HBO. The show set the network above the rest by bringing in audiences, critical acclaim, and awards, proving that HBO could create quality programming. It was nominated for Outstanding Drama Series every year it ran, and lead actors James Gandolfini and Edie Falco were nominated for their roles six times over its run. The Sopranos also bagged plenty of technical nominations as well such as editing and sound mixing, proving it to be a great, well rounded production.

Dancing with the Stars – 116 nominations

The one and only reality show to rank in the top ten most Emmy-nominated shows, Dancing with the Stars has 116 nominations and counting as it continues onwards. Many of these nominations come from the production side, with the show consistently getting nominated for costume design, hair styling, lighting, and makeup — categories that are all worthy of being recognized. Of course, it also gets plenty of choreography nods as well.

Mad Men – 116 nominations

Image via Lionsgate Television

Who would have thought that a series based on marketing would become such a cultural phenomenon? Mad Men premiered in 2007 and instantly launched its stars Jon Hamm, Christina Hendricks, Elisabeth Moss, and January Jones into the stratosphere, but, surprisingly, despite being nominated time and time again, only Hamm took home Outstanding Lead Actor in 2015, the show’s final year. The show did well overall though, winning four of its eight nominations for Outstanding Drama.

Cheers – 117 nominations

Image via NBC

Here (as hinted at above) we have Cheers in fourth place. This became a staple of American television in its roughly decade-long run; it created a sense of home, with the opening song famously including the lyrics “Sometimes you wanna go where everybody knows your name…” It was nominated for Outstanding Comedy Series every year and the cast, including Ted Danson, Kelsey Grammar, Woody Harrelson, Bebe Neuwirth, and Kirstie Alley were often nominated for their respective roles as well.

ER – 124 nominations

Image via NBC

The series that launched George Clooney’s career is one of the most nominated medical dramas to date, which makes some sense considering that it was one of the longest-running dramas in history, with 331 episodes (still behind Grey’s Anatomy currently at 400). The first season alone received 15 nominations including for Clooney, and racked up a fair amount of Outstanding Guest Actor nominations over its run too.

Game of Thrones – 160 nominations

Image via HBO Max

No surprise here that one of the biggest cultural phenomenons in television history would have snatched up a fair few nominations. It is still one of the biggest HBO properties of all time and had the highest ratings until its spinoff, House of the Dragon, came along in 2022. Game of Thrones was nominated for Outstanding Drama Series for all eight seasons, winning four of them, with Peter Dinklage matching that for his role as Tyrion Lannister. The show set a record for most nominations for a show in one season when it put forward its entire cast for nominations in its finale season.

Saturday Night Live – 306 nominations

SNL on NBC

SNL runs away with first place, with almost double the nominations of Game of Thrones. Granted though, one key factor of this is sheer time. The skit show has been going strong since 1975 with a revolving door of some of the greatest comedians in the country, many of whom get their start on this show. Many of the comedians have received nominations for their roles on the show including the likes of Kristen Wiig, Eddie Murphy, Leslie Jones, as well of many who act and write with Seth Meyers, Tina Fey, and Adam Sandler.

Time will tell if these will get knocked off the top ten, with the likelihood that those at the bottom of the list will very likely get be eclipsed in time, but for front runners like ER and Game of Thrones, the chances of elimination are quite low. It is unlikely that any show at this rate will knock SNL off the top spot, as it continues to keep producing award-winning television with apparently no end in sight.

Jon Hamm ties the knot in wedding that gave quite a few nods to ‘Mad Men’ https://wegotthiscovered.moviesx.org/celebrities/jon-hamm-ties-the-knot-in-wedding-that-gave-quite-a-few-nods-to-mad-men/ https://wegotthiscovered.moviesx.org/celebrities/jon-hamm-ties-the-knot-in-wedding-that-gave-quite-a-few-nods-to-mad-men/#respond Sun, 25 Jun 2023 20:20:40 +0000 https://wegotthiscovered.moviesx.org/?p=1521296 We present to you the 'Mad' couple.]]>

They met on set, and now they were married in the most Mad Men way. Jon Hamm and Anna Osceola exchanged vows overlooking the water along the California coast in what is being praised as a very beautiful wedding that was done to a T.

Jon and Anna met in 2015 on the set of Mad Men when she played the part of Clementine in season 7, episode 14 – “Person to Person.” It was the final episode of the series and sadly, his relationship with actress and screenwriter Jennifer Westfeldt also came to an end that year. He never married Jennifer as he said in an archived interview published in the New York Post in 2008, “We may not have a piece of paper that says we’re husband and wife, but after 10 years, Jennifer is more than just a girlfriend. What we have is much deeper and we both know that. To me, people get married when they’re ready to have kids, which I’m not ruling out.”

Does that mean he’s ready to have kids with Anna? One step at a time – TMZ broke the story of their wedding on Saturday that was complete with stars, scenery, and quite the nod to the show that brought them together in the first place. The venue was Anderson Canyon in Big Sur, which is the location of the final scene of the series when Don Draper is in a meditation session rediscovering himself.

Screengrab via YouTube

Fellow Mad Men costar John Slattery attended the wedding along with quite a few other big names — including Tina Fey, Paul Rudd, and Billy Crudup — just to mention a few. Of course, there were cocktails being served, which makes perfect sense since there was rarely a scene in the show when Draper didn’t have a drink in his hand.

With Jon looking perfect in his tux and Anna stunning in her dress, the band played “You Only Live Twice” as she walked up the aisle, a throwback to the theme song for the Bond movie of the same name that was released in 1967.

A good bit of planning went into their wedding to make it go off as smoothly as it did and with such reverence to the show that could very well be given the credit for making their wedding day happen. Now, when will the pitter-patter of little feet fill the house? That’s what fans would like to know.

John Mayer’s latest relationship escapades with a ‘Mad Men’ star are grossing out fans https://wegotthiscovered.moviesx.org/celebrities/john-mayers-latest-relationship-escapades-with-a-mad-men-star-are-grossing-out-fans/ https://wegotthiscovered.moviesx.org/celebrities/john-mayers-latest-relationship-escapades-with-a-mad-men-star-are-grossing-out-fans/#respond Tue, 08 Nov 2022 23:17:26 +0000 https://wegotthiscovered.moviesx.org/?p=1344424 He's 45. She's 22. Can we make it any more obvious?]]>

John Mayer’s long history of bizarre relationships seems like it could be continuing, with him seen having dinner with Kiernan Shipka.

The star of Mad Men and Sabrina was seen in a romantic dinner setting in Los Angeles with musician Mayer, fuelling speculation of a relationship between the 22-year-old and the 45-year-old. Given Mayer’s past has been riddled with bizarre relationships and giving truly strange anecdotes over previous personal affairs, it’s got many very concerned.

The duo reportedly dined together for over four hours, adding Shipka to the long list of his previous absurd relationships with Katy Perry, Jennifer Love Hewitt, Jennifer Aniston, and Taylor Swift. If there’s a blonde woman in showbusiness who hasn’t been drafted to date Mayer yet, we’d love to see them.

Shipka’s age difference with Mayer feels eerily similar to Billie Eilish’s relationship with The Neighbourhood frontman Jesse Rutherford, though the age difference between that pair is 11 years, and the difference between this one is 23 years. The reaction, much like with Eilish and Rutherford, is overwhelmingly negative.

Mayer’s previous shenanigans led him to be subject of a song by Taylor Swift, and her loyal army of Swifties are rushing to defend Shipka from a fate they deem far worse than death: being seen with Mayer.

Age differences in showbiz relationships seem to really touch people a very wrong way, with arguments being made with each relationship like this of predatory behavior. Given Shipka is 22 years old, she is more than capable of making her own life decisions: even if they end up being very, very bad ones.

This is the same man who once said “My dick is sort of like a white supremacist. I’ve got a Benetton heart and a fuckin’ David Duke cock. I’m going to start dating separately from my dick” in regards to dating Black women. Very normal stuff, Mayer.

From Maverick to a foul ball, Jon Hamm’s newest job has left fans confused https://wegotthiscovered.moviesx.org/celebrities/from-maverick-to-a-foul-ball-jon-hamms-newest-job-has-left-fans-confused/ https://wegotthiscovered.moviesx.org/celebrities/from-maverick-to-a-foul-ball-jon-hamms-newest-job-has-left-fans-confused/#respond Tue, 08 Nov 2022 00:36:10 +0000 https://wegotthiscovered.moviesx.org/?p=1343324 "What you call love was invented by guys like me... to sell baseball players."]]>

Jon Hamm has become one of Hollywood’s most widely celebrated properties over the years, with a credit list longer than you can probably imagine. That being said, one of his most recent gigs proved to be one of the most financially successful: Top Gun: Maverick.

However, another recent role Hamm signed himself up for has both film and baseball fans scratching their heads a little bit —the narration of a promotional video for MLB free agent Trea Turner.

From Hamm’s delivery to the actual script of the promo, as well as its audio quality – the two-minute clip has elicited some humorous responses. Hamm, to brilliant effect, states the obvious a fair bit in the video – did you know that Trea Turner can run? Did you know he can throw? Did you know he can HIT? So can just about any other human being attempting to play baseball.

Responses to Hamm’s latest gig have varied, with one Twitter saying he was born for dramatic readings of baseball-savant articles. Unfortunately, sarcasm is difficult to glean from the context of Twitter (isn’t that right, Elon?) so read that how you will.

Some fans are petitioning for Hamm to get himself a proper acting gig, saying he shouldn’t be stooping to what frankly sounds like a Cameo-ordered voiceover script. To satiate your curiosity, we did the due diligence – at the time of writing, Hamm is unavailable on the platform to wish your niece a happy birthday. Though he is available to point out that Turner can run and throw!

Finally – this tweet decides to point out the irony of Hamm’s voiceover advertising gig, considering the decade the actor spent playing Don Draper on Mad Men

Another of Hamm’s more recent works outside Top Gun: Maverick and shilling baseball free agents was Confess, Fletch – a film we called both funny and engrossing

Alexis Bledel and Vincent Kartheiser broke up because he’s a ‘lone wolf’ https://wegotthiscovered.moviesx.org/celebrities/alexis-bledel-and-vincent-kartheiser-broke-up-because-hes-a-lone-wolf/ https://wegotthiscovered.moviesx.org/celebrities/alexis-bledel-and-vincent-kartheiser-broke-up-because-hes-a-lone-wolf/#respond Fri, 16 Sep 2022 20:11:16 +0000 https://wegotthiscovered.moviesx.org/?p=1300803 “Alexis is a little eccentric herself but compared to Vinnie, she’s incredibly normal."]]>

Mad Men actors Alexis Bledel and Vincent Kartheiser have split after eight years of marriage. The pair met on the set of the acclaimed AMC series in 2012 and have maintained a low profile in the past few years without having appeared in public together for a good while. And it seems that Kartheiser’s idiosyncratic “lone wolf nature” may lie at the heart of the breakup.

“Alexis is a little eccentric herself but compared to Vinnie, she’s incredibly normal,” an anonymous source revealed to Us Weekly. “For starters, Vinnie lives life by an unbreakable code of being humble and following a low-consumption lifestyle. That’s something he’s credited as helping him survive the crazy world of starting out as a child actor and that’s part of what drew Alexis to him — he was different.”

The couple married in 2014, one year after announcing their engagement, and both have striven to keep their relationship, as well as their son, born in 2015, away from the scrutiny of the press. “It’s something I realized about the most important things in my life. If I share them with the world and I open that door to their fuming anger that they need to get out or their adoration that they want to flaunt, it lessens it,” Kartheiser once told  Vulture. “It cheapens it. It weakens it. And it’s magical, love, and all of that is … profoundly spiritual, and it just doesn’t feel right.”

The two have both maintained busy careers during the marriage. Kartheiser recently starred in the role of Dr. Jonathan Crane, aka The Scarecrow, in the third season of Titans, and Bledel had a recurring role on The Handmaid’s Tale. Time apart may have fostered the split. “They didn’t have a huge circle of friends but they both made up for it with very thriving and busy careers — almost to a fault,” said Us Weekly’s source. “Vincent has always been a little bit of a lone wolf and he’s going to benefit from time on his own.”

Mad Men Creator Matthew Weiner Accused Of Sexual Harassment https://wegotthiscovered.moviesx.org/tv/matthew-weiner-accused-sexual-harassment-mad-men-writer/ https://wegotthiscovered.moviesx.org/tv/matthew-weiner-accused-sexual-harassment-mad-men-writer/#respond Sat, 11 Nov 2017 15:00:43 +0000 http://wegotthiscovered.moviesx.org/?p=662202 Kater Gordon, who wrote on the hit 2007-2015 series Mad Men, has accused the show's creator, Matthew Weiner, of telling her that 'she owed it him to let him see her naked,' as reported on Thursday by The Information. Of all the reports of sexual harassment that have oozed out of Hollywood over the last few weeks, this one stings the most. Kater Gordon, who wrote on the hit AMC series Mad Men, has accused the show’s creator, Matthew Weiner, of telling her that ‘she owed it him to let him see her naked,’ as reported on Thursday by The Information. According to Gordon, Weiner’s behaviour left her so shaken that she hasn’t worked in television since. This story cuts particularly deep because Mad Men was such an effective skewering of workplace sexism and harassment. While Jon Hamm’s gradually disintegrating advertising genius took centre stage, the show’s heart arguably lay in Elisabeth Moss’s Peggy Olson, who rose from being Draper’s secretary and typist to a respected copywriter with her own office. Along the way, she has to deal with an endless parade of sexually entitled men who see her as just a piece of meat to be used for their own pleasure. Sadly, if this story pans out, it looks as if Matthew Weiner can them. Responding to the allegation, Weiner’s team issued the following statement:

“Mr. Weiner spent eight to ten hours a day writing dialogue aloud with Miss Gordon, who started on Mad Men as his writers assistant. He does not saying this comment nor does it reflect a comment he would say to any colleague.”

But Gordon is adamant, explaining that the incident not only left her unable to feel comfortable working in television, but has inspired her to create a nonprofit organization called Modern Alliance, whose goal is to change perceptions around sexual harassment. If even a fraction of the current stories we’re hearing turn out to be true (and frankly, they all sound credible to me), then she has her work cut out for her. In the meantime, re-watching Mad Men is going to leave a slightly bad taste in the mouth from now on.

9 Awful Episodes From Awesome TV Shows https://wegotthiscovered.moviesx.org/tv/10-awful-episodes-of-awesome-tv-shows/ https://wegotthiscovered.moviesx.org/tv/10-awful-episodes-of-awesome-tv-shows/#respond Wed, 27 Apr 2016 01:19:07 +0000 http://wegotthiscovered.moviesx.org/?p=515170 Even the best series have produced at least one stinker. us as we count down 9 of the most awful episodes that featured in awesome TV shows.]]>

Dexter_Finale Some TV shows can do no wrong and, against all the odds, manage to produce uniformly high quality episodes week after week, season after season. They never ever serve up a dud. Well, except maybe just once. Yes, even the best series that television has to offer have produced at least one stinker, that single episode that seems like it belongs to another show entirely – so poorly does it treat the usually brilliant characters or tell an oddly weak storyline. Those boring filler episodes that contribute nothing to the overall story arc or, heaven forbid, those finales which totally screw up the landing. Such installments aren’t necessarily the absolute worst episodes of television ever, but they are some of the most disappointing, as they fall significantly below the high bar set by the rest of their respective series. So, on that note, us as we count down 9 of the most awful episodes that featured in awesome TV shows. There will be some spoilers here, but given that most of these shows are now off air, you should be safe to proceed.
