Who lives in a pineapple under the sea? SpongeBob SquarePants, of course, and our favorite sponge and his deep-sea friends love the holidays as much as we do.

SpongeBob is always laughing, constantly finding the silver lining, and chasing Jellyfish like it’s what he was put on the seabed to do. It’s no surprise that he also loves Christmas — it’s bright and full of cheer and the most magical time of the year! Pretty much the opposite of the ever-popular Halloween episodes, actually.

The holiday season might look a little different under the sea, but it’s still got the wonder and joy that our above-water celebrations have. When SpongeBob, Patrick, and Squidward experience the winter months alongside friends like Mr. Krabs, their frenemy Plankton, and Mrs. Puff, they make sure to pack them with everything from snowball fights and snow angels to baking and holiday cheer. But we can’t let them have all the fun!

So, we decided to rewatch some of our favorite SpongeBob episodes set during the holiday season and share them with you. Here are the best episodes to watch with friends and loved ones this week to help you celebrate all things Christmas!

“Snowball Effect” (season 3, episode 3)

When SpongeBob wants to have a snowball fight with Patrick, he must first show him the ropes since Patrick hasn’t had a snowball fight before. Patrick is even convinced that someone is after him, pelting him with snowy objects. SpongeBob shows him just how fun snowball fights can be, and soon they want others to in on the fun. Of course, they try to recruit Squidward into their fun afternoon, but in true Squidward fashion, he’s not as excited to as they’d hoped.

Will they convince him that snowball fights can be fun, or will it turn into an all-out brawl? You’ll have to watch this episode to find out, and you won’t want to miss it. The companion episode is that of Mr. Krabs having a yard sale, and it’s packed with all the sarcasm and laughs you’ve come to expect from SpongeBob.

“It’s a SpongeBob Christmas!” (season 8, episode 23)

One of our favorite Christmas tunes comes from this SpongeBob Christmas special. It’s so good that we had to post it and share it with you. Don’t be surprised if “Don’t Be a Jerk (It’s Christmas)” gets stuck in your head after watching. It’s a great song to when someone cuts you off in traffic or steals the last must-have toy you wanted to buy!

This Christmas special took place in the eighth season of SpongeBob and is one of our favorite episodes of all time. SpongeBob unknowingly helps Plankton get the entirety of Bikini Bottom on the naughty list for Christmas, and once he realizes what he’s done, he must put a stop to it at once. This particular episode brings laughs and even some feel-good moments that you can enjoy as Bikini Bottom comes together to celebrate the holiday and save the Krabby Patty formula.

“Christmas Who" allowfullscreen>

Didn’t every kid completely dream about visiting Santa Claus in the North Pole? Well, if you never managed to make that impossible dream come true, luckily you can live out the experience through SpongeBob, Patrick and yes… even Plankton. In the Christmas special, the trio embark on a complicated yet entertaining journey to the North Pole to deliver Santa a present. But when Santa is nowhere to be found, the group become “Santa” until he finally shows up and spreads that familiar holiday joy and cheer.

For many of us, the Yuletide season consists of bouncing from one department store to the next in search of a perfect gift while sipping on a peppermint-flavored hot chocolate. And yet, others would rather gather underneath a snuggly blanket and adhere to an abundance of television content — especially animated classics from Nickelodeon.

For a large majority of us, these particular Nickelodeon animated Christmas specials were the backbone of our childhoods, playing in the background as we opened presents from Santa and scarfed down some holiday-inspired cookies. As a result, most of these Christmas specials are undoubtedly nostalgic and make our hearts melt each year due to that comfortable feeling of being a kid with virtually zero responsibilities.

So, grab yourself a tall mug of delicious eggnog, unpack those vibrant childhood memories, and follow along as we reveal the best animated Nickelodeon Christmas episodes to enjoy this holiday season.

Invader Zim — “The Most Horrible X-Mas Ever”

Christmas episode of Invader Zim

Any singular soul out there who has seen Invader Zim at one point or another understands how wacky the series truly is. So, it should hardly come as a surprise that the Christmas special is just as zany and over-the-top as the rest. Once Zim figures out who Santa is and discovers everybody loves him, he kidnaps and drains the brain and knowledge of Santa Claus and disguises himself as one, causing complete chaos in the process. It’s out-of-this-world and hilariously full of nostalgia, but that’s surely to be expected with this show.

My Life as a Teenage Robot — “Robot for All Seasons”

Christmas episode of My Life as a Teenage Robot

Despite only lasting for 3 seasons, My Life as a Teenage Robot is certainly one of the best shows Nickelodeon has ever crafted. Moreover, its Christmas episode packs a dark, nostalgic punch and takes us through a trip down memory lane. When Jenny is programmed to become evil to destroy the holidays, she does absolutely everything in her power to make herself good again and save the most favorable holiday of the year. It’s not the most popular of the bunch, but it definitely harbors that familiar nostalgia.

The Ren & Stimpy Show — “Son of Stimpy”

Christmas episode of The Ren & Stimpy Show
Image via Nickelodeon

I don’t know about you, but The Ren & Stimpy Show remains a vital part of my childhood — if for the simple fact that the animated series was insanely wacky and hilariously entertaining. That being said, there’s likely no episode out there from the show wilder than its Christmas special — especially with this episode centering around Stimpy giving birth to a fart that he named Stinky. Eventually, Ren manages to help Stimpy and Stinky reunite in one of the most bizarre, yet somehow emotional moments in Nickelodeon animation. Hey, we never said nostalgia had to be good.

The Adventures of Jimmy Neutron, Boy Genius — “Holly Jolly Jimmy”

Image via Nickelodeon

Seeing as the ever-popular show centers around a boy genius with a strong capability of creating inventions, it shouldn’t be a major surprise that this Christmas special revolves around Jimmy not accepting that a figure like Santa Claus could possibly exist. But with the help of his friend Carl and uncovering the true meaning and magic of Christmas, Jimmy believes that Santa presents a feel-good sensation of happiness and being a kid that makes people happy. It’s the perfect representation of how fun Christmas truly can be, especially when you’re just a young kid.

Doug — “Doug’s Christmas Story”

Image via Nickelodeon

If I’m being completely honest here, Doug is undoubtedly the most underrated classic Nickelodeon series, and I will happily die on that hill. So you can surely imagine that its Christmas episode is just as underrated, presenting that indescribable nostalgic Christmas sensation that we all feel around the holiday season. When the time comes for Doug to protect Porkchop after he is accused of attacking someone, Doug remains faithful to his canine best friend and embodies what Christmas is all about.

Catdog — “A Very Catdog Christmas”

Image via Nickelodeon

Catdog is another one of those Nickelodeon classics that doesn’t get enough love — but we’ll surely take care of that as we showcase the series’ shiny Christmas special. After discovering that Catdog “sold” themselves to be the “pet” of a spoiled daughter of a rich tycoon, Santa Claus cancels Christmas as retaliation, causing town-wide panic and devastation. However, Catdog’s antics somehow bring the entire community together in the end, giving us one of the most nostalgic episodes to fondly in adulthood.

SpongeBob SquarePants — “Christmas Who?”

Image via Nickelodeon

ittedly, I probably watched this episode way too much as a kid, but that’s to be expected with how popular SpongeBob was. Of course, the animated series has a handful of favorable Christmas episodes, but its first Christmas special certainly takes the cake. As SpongeBob and Patrick bring the joy and warmth of Christmas to Bikini Bottom, they’re shocked to learn that Squidward doesn’t believe in Santa nor care about Christmas — that is until Santa gives Squidward a visit in the end after he does some good deeds.

Rugrats — “The Santa Experience”

Image via Nickelodeon

Rugrats is one of the greatest Nickelodeon classics of all time, so it makes perfect sense to include its best Christmas episode. With Angelica acting naughty and Chuckie being afraid of Santa Claus, the episode is jam-packed with entertainment. The brightest spot of the special happens when Santa shows up in the end and delivers presents to all the babies while they’re staying at a cabin in the mountains. This one always leaves me feeling completely nostalgic and a bit teary-eyed.

The Fairly Oddparents — “Christmas Every Day”

Image via Nickelodeon

This particular Christmas special is heavily nostalgic for all of us, because as kids, who didn’t want Christmas to be every day? Well, this Yuletide episode perfectly dives in and explores that idea when Timmy wishes for Christmas to happen every day — resulting in a whirlwind of chaos and panic. In the end, Santa intervenes and Christmas goes back to normal, happening only once a year to maintain its magic. This one is undoubtedly worth the watch and features a catchy solo song in the beginning.

Hey Arnold! — “Arnold’s Christmas”

Christmas episode of Hey Arnold

If you can watch this episode without getting choked up, then you’re surely a strong soldier. As Secret Santa commences at Arnold’s boarding house, Arnold is tasked with buying a gift for Mr. Hyunh, although he’s not entirely sure what to get him. But after hearing Mr. Hyunh’s troubled backstory with him being separated from his infant daughter, Arnold attempts to reunite the pair, with Helga ultimately being the one to make it happen as a quiet favor to Arnold. It’s the sweetest episode that deserves a watch this year.

For nearly three decades — yes, three decades! — Stephen Hillenburg’s ever-popular animated series SpongeBob SquarePants has routinely entertained viewers of all ages. After airing its premiere episode on July 17, 1999, the series eventually caught momentum, and has since become a staple in worldwide media and entertainment. With a cast of colorful characters and gifted voice actors, it’s no wonder SpongeBob and the gang have established their legacy in the realm of animated television.

Throughout its boisterous run, the engaging series has generated an abundance of holiday-themed specials — several of which showcase an eerie narrative that echoes themes of Halloween. These episodes remain some of the most memorable of the series, as they are the perfect balance between Halloween festivity and classic SpongeBob humor.

So, with Halloween just around the corner, here are the 10 best SpongeBob SquarePants Halloween episodes, ranked.

10. “The Curse of Bikini Bottom” (season 7, episode 7)

Any episode that features The Flying Dutchman is guaranteed to pack a plethora of scares and genuinely terrifying moments. In the seventh episode of the seventh season, SpongeBob and Patrick accidentally remove The Flying Dutchman’s iconic beard with a lawnmower. As a result, The Flying Dutchman turns the joyful duo into soulless ghosts — placing a curse on them in the process until his beard grows back.

The episode is chock-full of humorous moments, and with a ghostly theme and the inclusion of a cemetery, it gives off the perfect Halloween vibe.

9. “A Cabin in the Kelp” (season 12, episode 21)

Considering this episode’s title is a parody of 2011’s slasher A Cabin in the Woods, it makes complete sense that it would be included on this list. In “A Cabin in the Kelp,” Pearl and her friends whisk away to a cabin for the weekend. Unbeknownst to the rest of her friends, Pearl has brought SpongeBob along to play pranks and cause amok. However, after Pearl’s friends tell a spooky urban legend around the campfire at night, the entire gang becomes petrified that the story is true.

It’s a must-watch episode that definitely echoes that familiar Halloween feel. The episode does a great job of serving as a silly parody of a classic horror movie while still remaining a fun Spongebob episode.

8. “Don’t Look Now” (season 9, episode 9)

“Don’t Look Now” is the perfect episode on par with the fear factor surrounding Halloween. In the fast-paced episode, SpongeBob and Patrick head to the movie theater to watch a horror movie — although Squidward strongly advises them against it, claiming that the pair will become too frightened. Unsurprisingly, Squidward turns out to be right, and both SpongeBob and Patrick are scared beyond belief. Upon leaving the theater, the duo convinces themselves that the villain from the horror movie is after them — seeing the movie monster in shadows and innocent civilians.

This episode is chock-full of hilarious moments that teeter on the ‘scary’ scale. Its take on the classic childhood experience of insisting on watching a horror movie despite being warned against makes for a funny and memorable episode.

7. “The Legend of Boo-Kini Bottom” (season 11, episode 5)

See, what did we tell you? Almost every SpongeBob episode featuring The Flying Dutchman packs a terrifying punch that tingles the spines of eagle-eyed viewers. In this spooktacular extra-animated episode, The Flying Dutchman has one task on his agenda: to scare SpongeBob on Halloween.

Of course, the premise alone sounds frightening, but the lengths to which The Flying Dutchman goes are actually humorous. Plus, it makes the comedy that much funnier considering how easily SpongeBob gets scared. As a result, this episode rightfully deserves a spot on this chilling list.

6. “Ghoul Fools” (season 8, episode 10)

If there’s one thing about SpongeBob and Patrick, they’ll surely always find themselves in peculiar situations. In the tenth episode of the eighth season, our beloved duo stumbles upon a houseboat that is swarming with the ghosts of dead pirates. The undersea pair encounter an apparition named Lord Poltergeist, and the rest of the episode is filled with otherworldly supernatural occurrences and a boatload of memorable moments.

Without breaking tradition, The Flying Dutchman makes a lively appearance, seeing as this is considered to be a Halloween episode. The way the show included supernatural elements in a comedic way makes it a stand-out episode.

5. “I Was a Teenage Gary” (season 1, episode 13b)

There’s just something nostalgic about the early days of SpongeBob that snaps plenty of folks back to their childhoods. From the very first season, “I Was a Teenage Gary” stands out as one of the most memorable episodes of the entire animated series. In the episode, after SpongeBob stumbles upon a strange syringe containing snail plasma, he becomes hauntingly injected and turns into a snail.

It’s an episode full of eerie scenes and unforgettable lines of dialogue that truly drill that Halloween vibe — and seeing as the episode was released just three days shy of Halloween, it fits the bill.

4. “Rock Bottom” (season 1, episode 17)

Another iconic episode from the first season, “Rock Bottom” presents one of the most terrifying situations for the titular character. And, although this episode isn’t technically a Halloween episode — seeing as it was released in March 2000 — its general vibe is one that is familiar with the bone-chilling atmosphere of Halloween itself. In the episode, SpongeBob gets lost after leaving Glove World with Patrick, only to become trapped in an undersea zone called Rock Bottom. While stranded, SpongeBob experiences anxiety due to isolation and spends the entire episode desperately trying to return to Bikini Bottom.

It’s a chilling adventure that definitely deserves a spot near the top. It feels like one of those episodes of the show that can be watched time and time again and still be enjoyed.

3. “Krabby Patty Creature Feature” (season 11, episode 7)

The Halloween-esque spirit is certainly in the episode’s title, isn’t it? In “Krabby Patty Creature Feature,” SpongeBob must swap his square pants for a heroic cape after a disastrous new Krabby Patty formula causes the residents of Bikini Bottom to transform into terrifying creatures — including notable fan-favorite characters like Mr. Krabs and Sandy.

In the end, SpongeBob eventually gets the population of Bikini Bottom back to normal, but the endless list of hilarious moments and spine-tingling realization of viruses is enough to scare anyone. This episode is great because it finds a way to incorporate one of its most classic storylines into a seasonal tale.

2. “Graveyard Shift” (season 2, episode 16)

Regarded as one of the most iconic episodes in SpongeBob lore, it would be a travesty to not include “Graveyard Shift” in the top two best Halloween episodes for the show. In the episode, Squidward and SpongeBob work the night shift at the Krusty Krab — although the spooky environment quickly causes SpongeBob to become paranoid. Eventually, SpongeBob manages to scare Squidward with his paranoia, and the two believe that a monster called the Hash-Slinging Slasher is after them.

It’s a wild episode with plenty of laughs that is just perfect for Halloween marathons. Seeing Squidward follow in SpongeBob’s scared footsteps makes for an interesting twist and a captivating episode.

1. “Scaredy Pants” (season 1, episode 13a)

From the show’s beloved first season, “Scaredy Pants” is undoubtedly the best SpongeBob Halloween episode. Throughout the first half of the episode, SpongeBob is dubbed with the nickname “SpongeBob ScaredyPants” by his friends and peers, seeing as he’s constantly getting scared on Halloween. However, SpongeBob decides that this year, for Halloween, he’s going to dress up as something scary to test his fears. With help from Patrick, SpongeBob dresses up as The Flying Dutchman and hatches a plan to scare everyone in Bikini Bottom.

It’s a truly iconic episode that will go down in history as one of the best animated Halloween episodes. It proves that, sometimes, you just can’t seem to beat the classics.

Among the plethora of television networks that showcase a strong lineup of binge-able content, Nickelodeon is undoubtedly one of the most popular when it comes to live-action and animated series, especially during the bone-chilling month of October when the spooky season can beautifully shine.

Truth be told, there’s nothing more nostalgic than sipping apple cider and carving pumpkins while vintage Nickelodeon Halloween episodes play in the background. In fact, we probably just revealed your secret nightly routine during the spooktacular month. Don’t worry, it’s our nightly routine, too.

Considering Nickelodeon was founded in 1977 and hit the mainstream in the 1980s, it’s quite obvious that an abundance of Halloween-themed episodes have been generated by the network. Traditionally, Nickelodeon even held an annual Nick or Treat marathon from 1985-2002 that included many of those specials. Before you venture out for candy with the kids or go bobbing for some delicious apples, check out this definitive ranking of the 15 best Nickelodeon Halloween TV episodes.

15. The Angry Beavers: “The Day the World Got Really Screwed Up!” (season 2, episode 10)

Image via Nickelodeon

Serving as the perfect blend of humor for both adults and children, The Angry Beavers provided one of the best Halloween specials in the history of Nickelodeon. In the episode, the sometimes terrifying art of trick-or-treating is displayed by the beavers as they arrive at the doorstep of a spooky house at the top of a nearby hill. In the end, however, the duo discovers that the residence belongs to one of their favorite B-movie acting stars, settling their fears altogether and reminding them of the joyous excitement of Halloween. It’s one of the best for a good reason, and it wouldn’t be the spooky season without it.

14. Drake & Josh: “Alien Invasion” (season 3, episode 16)

Drake & Josh

Drake & Josh is undoubtedly a staple of childhood nostalgia which brought plenty of laughter into the homes of many. While this episode technically isn’t a Halloween episode — seeing as it was released in March — the special’s spine-tingling premise placed its protagonists in a peculiar situation. In an attempt at revenge, Drake and Josh hatch an elaborate plan to trick their younger sister Megan into thinking she saw aliens in her new telescope. It’s an unforgettable episode packed with some spooky moments.

13. Rugrats/Aaahh!!! Real Monsters: “Ghost Story” (season 6, episode 12)

Rugrats Ghost Story

Can you say iconic? The crossover between Rugrats and Aaahh!!! Real Monsters was definitely Nickelodeon’s multiverse of madness. In the episode, the babies gather to tell a scary story, which they all take turns relating in a one-by-one fashion. Eventually, Angelica intercepts and starts telling the story for herself, only things become even scarier when the babies encounter the characters from Aaahh!!! Real Monsters. It’s a spooktacular crossover episode that rightfully deserves a spot on this list.

12. Danny Phantom: “Fright Knight” (season 1, episode 13)

Image via Nickelodeon

Considering the ever-popular animated series faithfully centers around a teenage human-ghost hybrid, it should hardly come as a major surprise that the Nickelodeon show crafted a variety of captivating Halloween episodes during its initial run. In the creepiest episodes of them all, Danny and his arch nemesis, Dash Baxter bet on who can create the scariest haunted house for the spooky season. Determined to make his house the scariest, Danny takes a deadly sword from a ghostly supervillain known as the Fright Knight, which immediately backfires and introduces one of the show’s most terrifying villains. It’s a hilariously entertaining episode that is perfect for the Halloween season.

11. Big Time Rush: “Big Time Halloween” (season 2, episode 5)

Image via Nickelodeon

Listen, we’re absolutely not going to mince words here — Big Time Rush was one of the most popular TV shows during the glory days of teenagehood content on Nickelodeon. Heavily promoted as a teenage-inspired response to skyrocketed shows such as Hannah Montana over on Disney Channel, it’s hard to compete with the show’s general appeal and rockstar Halloween episode. With living people and ghosts living side-by-side peacefully, the special conveys a message of unity and Halloween harmony, so what more can you ask for?

10. The Adventures of Jimmy Neutron, Boy Genius: “Nightmare In Retroville” (season 2, episode 5)

Jimmy Neutron Nickelodeon

We simply couldn’t have an outline of the best Nickelodeon Halloween episodes without the inclusion of the beloved character Jimmy Neutron. In this episode, Jimmy creates a portal in his lab that allows him and his friends to resemble whichever monster they want to dress as for Halloween. Unfortunately, a mishap happens during the Neutronic Monster Maker’s creation when Jimmy realizes that everyone who has come in with the portal is actually turning into their monsters. It’s a classic Halloween episode that still reigns as a guilty pleasure in October.

9. Catdog: “CatDogula” (season 3, episode 19)

Catdog

Catdog is arguably the most underrated show ever created by Nickelodeon, and their Halloween episode definitely ranks as one of the best. During the episode, Dog is completely paranoid after a news bulletin reports a gang of flying vampire bats around the town. Cat dismisses this as nonsense, but when Dog is bitten and transforms into an actual vampire, Cat must do whatever it takes to change Dog back to normal. Catdog’s run was relatively short-lived, but this episode is chock-full of entertaining moments that really drive home that spooky atmosphere.

8. Zoey 101: “Haunted House” (season 2, episode 4)

Zoey 101

Zoey 101 is one of the most popular television series to come out of Nickelodeon, with the live-action series resonating with an entire generation of teens during its original run. In the Halloween episode, the gang at PCA orchestrates a homemade haunted house, which many students believe is “too scary” for the school. Eventually, the gang decides to play scary pranks and trick each other into thinking the “house” is actually haunted. It’s a thrilling episode that will add some spooky depth to your watchlists.

7. The Loud House: “Tricked!” (season 2, episode 39)

Image via Nickelodeon

Soaring onto the Nickelodeon scene in the late 2010s, The Loud House has become one of the most popular animated projects on the network in recent years. So naturally, Halloween fanatics flock to the show’s spooky specials during the most frightful time of the year, and “Tricked!” is definitely at the top of the list. Centering around Lincoln and Clyde during a trick-or-treating experience, this particular episode embodies all of the charm and appeal of the not-so-recognized “holiday,” from full-sized candy bars to a wide variety of eye-catching costumes.

6. Doug: “Doug’s Halloween Adventure” (season 4, episode 4)

Image via Nickelodeon

An episode that surely invokes a nightmare scenario comes from one of the most memorable television shows in Nickelodeon’s storied history — Doug. In the spooktacular special, Doug and his friends wish to embark on a fresh-faced rollercoaster ride in a local amusement park. Considered one of the scariest rides at the park, the friends decide to ride it instead of going trick-or-treating. But when the trio decides to ride the rollercoaster ride despite the park closing, things go from insanely wacky to downright frightening. It’s a wildly entertaining Halloween special that perfectly depicts Doug‘s TV perfection.

5. Rugrats: “Candy Bar Creep Show” (season 1, episode 9)

Rugrats

From “Curse of the Werewuff” to “Real or Robots?,” the ever-popular animated series Rugrats is chock-full of Halloween goodies that give us a strong sense of nostalgia. Of all the episodes, however, “Candy Bar Creep Show” is the best of the bunch. In the episode, Tommy’s family runs a neighborhood haunted house — although the babies are prohibited from entering because of the gore-fest atmosphere and creepy props. However, when the babies realize the haunted house includes an array of chocolate candy bars, the gang decides to enter anyway — which makes for some genuinely entertaining moments.

4. iCarly: “iScream On Halloween” (season 1, episode 7)

iCarly

iCarly has found itself catapulted into the news lately after Jennette McCurdy’s bestselling memoir reached a wide audience of readers. Still, before McCurdy’s tell-all, the creators and writers for iCarly generated one of the best Halloween episodes in Nickelodeon’s catalog. In the bone-chilling episode, Carly, Sam, and Freddie catch word that an apartment in Carly’s building is actually haunted. Of course, the gang brings Freddie’s camera to the apartment, and a few frightful experiences have them shaking in their costumes. In the end, it’s revealed that the apartment isn’t actually haunted, but the episode certainly embodies that harrowing feeling.

3. The Fairly Odd Parents: “Scary Godparents” (season 2, episode 12)

The Fairly Oddparents

It wouldn’t be a spooktacular list of Nickelodeon Halloween specials without Cosmo and Wanda granting Timmy’s every wish. Only this time, Timmy’s wish proves to be deadly for the entire human race. In the Fairly Odd Parents episode, Timmy wishes to be turned into an actual monster for Halloween to get an abundance of candy after scaring folks around the neighborhood. However, Timmy doesn’t realize that his wish affects everyone else and turns them all into monsters, too, which definitely cuts into his candy share. It’s an unforgettable episode that is perfect for the fall season. Plus, the song “Real And Scary” is an undisputed bop in Nickelodeon animated history.

2. SpongeBob SquarePants: “Scaredy Pants” (season 1, episode 13)

SpongeBob SquarePants

Is there an animated series on Nickelodeon that’s as timeless as SpongeBob? The show has become a long-lasting staple on the notable network, and part of that reason is its list of colorful Halloween episodes that keep fear lovers coming back for more each year. In this spine-tingling episode, SpongeBob and Patrick create a plan to show up to the Halloween party at the Krusty Krab dressed as terrifying monsters. However, SpongeBob experiences a freak accident at the hands of Patrick, and his horrifying appearance is more realistic than he initially thought. It’s one of the best Halloween episodes on Nickelodeon that will cease to be forgotten.

1. Hey Arnold: “Arnold’s Halloween” (season 2, episode 7)

Hey Arnold

Without a doubt, Hey Arnold’s Halloween special rings in as the best that Nickelodeon has to offer during the frightening month of October. In a warped children’s version of War of the Worlds, Arnold and Gerald decide to play a prank on the folks at Grandpa’s adults-only Halloween party by creating a fake radio broadcast that warns of an impending alien invasion. However, when the news broadcast leaks onto the actual city’s broadcast channel, the entire population descends into a panic. It’s a fun-filled Halloween special that pokes into the deepest depths of our fears — especially when it comes to the possibility of alien life walking among us someday.

The exploits of the 11-year-old Jimmy Neutron had inspired every kid in the 2000s to become a nerd. But if you swear you spent your evenings on Nickelodeon watching The Adventures of Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius, can you name all the show’s characters?

Inspired by the 2001 film Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius, the animated cartoon show The Adventures of Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius centers on the super-genius schoolboy Jimmy as he goes on adventures with his best friends Carl Wheezer and Sheen Estevez. The show was the first Nicktoon series to be animated in CGI and received several nominations and awards soon after its release in 2002.

If you were one of the kids hooked on Nickelodeon before and after school, then Jimmy Neutron’s inventions must have inspired you to consider a scientific career. Well whether or not you’re a scientist now, the cartoon show continues to spark curiosity and the spirit of innovation in its viewers. But there’s another thing about the show that roped audiences into it except its out-of-this-world science—its outrageously funny and intelligent characters. You’re lying if you deny wanting a trio like Jimmy, Carl, and Sheen for yourself.

Whether you were impressed by the popular kids of Lindbergh Elementary School, Nick, Dean, and Betty Quinlan, or were in awe with the idea of having a robot dog like Goddard, every character in Jimmy Neutron came together to make the show a hit.

Heroes in Jimmy Neutron

Jimmy Neutron

Image via Nickelodeon

The star of the show, Jimmy Neutron, is a pint-sized 11-year-old genius from Retroville with an insatiably active mind. Jimmy’s unconventional inventions frequently send him on wild adventures, transforming regular days into amazing misadventures.

Carl Wheezer

Image via Nickelodeon

Jimmy’s best friend, Carl Wheezer, is a charming, nervous boy who’s always up for an adventure, even if he would rather be cuddling with his pet llama at home. His loyal nature and oddball demeanor make him a fan favorite (his pet llama is my favorite though).

Sheen Estevez

Image via Nickelodeon

Delightfully and hyperactively obsessed with Ultra Lord superhero, Sheen Estevez is a source of unending energy and unexpected insight for Jimmy’s trio. His boundless enthusiasm is as contagious as his love for all things superheroes, but he loves Libby even more.

Goddard

Image via Nickelodeon

Goddard, our resident robot sidekick extraordinaire, is more than a regular pet dog. With the abundance of devices he’s equipped with, this metallic mutt is the ideal partner for Jimmy’s creative intellect and crazy adventures. Oh, and he can change into a flying motorcycle.

Cindy Vortex

Image via Nickelodoen

Jimmy and Cindy get along like dogs and cats, but Cindy is the superior female partner to the boy genius. The girl is always ready to challenge him with her smarts and sass. But beneath the friendly rivalry, Cindy’s intellect frequently proves extremely beneficial to the squad.

Libby Folfax

Image via Nickelodeon

Every girl needs a girl bestie and Libby is the one for Cindy. However, she’s much more than the girl sidekick. With a love for music and a level-headed approach, Libby keeps the gang grounded and is always the voice of reason in the group.

The Villains in Jimmy Neutron

Meldar Prime

Image via Nickelodoen

What could be a more perfect villain than an intergalactic alien with a superiority complex? Meldar Prime is exactly that. This menacing creature delights in wreaking havoc across the cosmos, and Jimmy often finds himself in the way of his dangerous plans.

Professor Calamitous

Image via Nickelodoen

Professor Calamitous is a small, quirky, nearsighted, and elderly genius with one deadly weakness: He can never finish anything! His half-baked nefarious schemes make him Jimmy’s most frequent adversary, despite his frequent gaffes.

Beautiful Gorgeous

Image via Nickelodeon

Beautiful Gorgeous is Professor Calamitous’s dashing yet dangerous daughter. But don’t be fooled by her name, she’s as dangerous as she is attractive, with a flair for evil schemes and espionage abilities. Though she’s a villain, I know a few who are secretly crushing on her!

King Goobot V

Image via Nickelodeon

The conniving King Goobot V rules the planet Yolkus with an iron fist — or should we say egg? Constantly plotting against Jimmy, this alien monarch is always ready to scramble up trouble. This villain has followed our hero from the original movie itself.

Ooblar

Image via Nickelodeon

Ooblar is the faithful but dimwitted sidekick of King Goobot who frequently gets caught in the crossfire of his boss’s plots. He is less of a threat because of his innocent, childlike demeanor. Sadly, though, he was exchanged for butter by the King.

Evil Jimmy

Evil Jimmy in Jimmy Neutron
Image via Nickelodeon

Finally, a worthy opponent. Jimmy Neutron created Evil Jimmy, a darker, more sinister version of himself. He is possibly the strongest opponent for our heroes since he is just as intelligent as the original but with a malicious twist.

ing characters in Jimmy Neutron

Hugh Neutron

Image via Nickelodoen

The Neutron household is always laughing at the dad jokes by Hugh Neutron. He is Jimmy’s father and loves ducks and pies. He is also the only adult who goes to the Candy Bar regularly, except Sam, who runs the place.

Judy Neutron

Image via Nickelodoen

Judy is not your average housewife; she’s Hugh’s “sugar-booger” and Jimmy’s intellectual mother. She maintains discipline in Jimmy’s life and is the smarter one of the couple. We know our hero got his brains from her, thus making us wonder what the long list of crazy things she definitely pulled in her teens.

Miss Fowl

Image via Nickelodeon

Often the victim of Jimmy’s bizarre inventions, Miss Fowl is otherwise a nurturing teacher at Lindbergh Elementary School. She also helps Jimmy and his companions overcome obstacles, both, academic and otherworldly. Although, she despises Sheen publicly and no one knows why.

Sam Melvick

Image via Nickelodeon

Sam Melvick is the grumpy owner of The Candy Bar visited by Jimmy’s father Hugh Neutron. He serves up snacks with a side of sarcasm, and sometimes with chocolate sprinkles made of ants. But he makes us laugh so we’ll let that one slide.

Nick Dean

Image via Nickelodoen

While Nick was among the main cast during the film and the first season, he was reduced to a ing character for the rest of the series and we don’t understand the logic behind the decision. He’s the Lindbergh Elementary School’s embodiment of cool. With his easygoing demeanor and effortless charm, he’s adored by every student, including Jimmy.

Betty Quinlan

Image via Nickelodoen

Betty Quinlan is the popular but sweet girl who Jimmy has a major crush on. However, she knows he belongs with Cindy and is only flattered by his leads. Jimmy generally gets into trouble and makes for some wonderful comedy when he tries to impress Betty with his inventions.

Bolbi Stroganovsky

Image via Nickelodeon

The eccentric exchange student Bolbi Stroganovsky is well-known for his bizarre traditions and exaggerated demeanor. Though he provides comic relief for the majority of the series, his antics are both peculiar and charming, leaving an impression on viewers.

Butch Pakovski

Image via Nickelodoen

The bully of the Lindbergh Elementary School, Butch Pakovski, takes pleasure in giving Jimmy and his pals a hard time. However, he is Nick’s closest buddy and occasionally displays a more vulnerable side. And bizarrely enough, Butch has a fear of big words.

For more than 2 decades, The Fairly Oddparents has been igniting the imagination of cartoon lovers. Timmy Turner, just an average kid that no one understands, has resonated with viewers since he first burst onto the scene in 2001.

Throughout its 16-year run, Timmy has made plenty of wishes with catastrophic consequences, but none hit nearly as hard as season 8 episode 2. The hour-long special. Timmy’s Secret Wish turned the entire Fairly Oddparents’ universe on its head.

Timmy Everlasting

Image via Nickelodeon

It’s no surprise that Timmy’s made more than 1 million wishes over the series’ 10 seasons. His parents are notoriously neglectful, his babysitter 1 step away from a war criminal, and his only teacher is the human embodiment of hatred. Luckily for Timmy, as reparations for his terrible existence, he was granted Cosmo and Wanda, loving fairies who can grant his every wish.

The only problem is, Fairy World has some strict rules around Fairy Godparents – once a child no longer needs their fairies, they leave forever. The tragic end to the relationship first appeared in season 4, when it was revealed that Cosmo and Wanda were once Mr. Crocker’s Fairy Godparents too. Whether through aging, accidentally revealing their fairy’s existence, or finally getting to live a decent life, all fairies eventually leave their kids behind – and once they’re gone, the kid forgets all about them.

Timmy Learns the secret in Channel Chasers and decides that he’s not going to make the same mistakes as his own parents. Hopefully providing a good enough life that his kids never need help from Fairy Godparents. Though the series is relatively non-linear, most fans point to this episode as the moment that Timmy determined that he would never grow up at all.

In Timmy’s Secret Wish it’s revealed that Timmy isn’t a 10-year-old at all; he’s actually a sexagenarian. Sometime after learning that he would forget about Cosmo and Wanda should he ever grow up, Timmy made a wish for the unthinkable – that he and everyone else in the world would be frozen in time. Though he isn’t sure how long ago it happened, Timmy guesses that it was somewhere around 50 years back. Beyond altering the fabric of time and space like he’s Doctor Strange and breaking one of the cardinal rules of the Fairy World, Timmy caps off his bad behavior by making Cosmo forget the whole interaction.

The whole plot sounds like one of those twisted internet theories centered on kids shows. The wish definitely should have landed Timmy in The Hall of Infamy – somewhere next to Maryann, who kicked off WWI by wishing for the death of Arch-Duke Franz Ferdinand. It leaves so many question. Did Timmy’s brain ever fully develop, or if he was mentally stuck as a 10-year-old through and through? Either way, it’s pretty messed up that he slept on such a big secret – one that led to the disappearance of his Fairy God-sibling.

When all is revealed, Cosmo and Wanda’s sweet baby Poof is erased from existence. Father Time is called to clean the mess, and when the wish is unmade, everyone on Earth ages 50 years in the blink of an eye. No one under the age of 50 exists, and those who were already elderly are now ancient. Everyone frozen in time suddenly jumps forward (we don’t even want to know how this effected pregnant people). The Fairy Council wipes Timmy memory alongside Cosmo and Wanda’s, and they no longer who Timmy Turner is – or that they ever had a child.

Of course, Timmy eventually re his horrible wish and teams up with Mr. Crocker to find Fairy World. He eventually rescues Poof from the Hocus Poconos – where undone wishes go – and selflessly sacrifices himself so that his fairies can live a good life together. The Fairy Council agrees to pull Timmy out of whish-purgatory and reinstate his fairies, and he wishes everything back to normal.

Or did he? Timmy is still 10 years old by the end of the series, so we think there is a real chance that the sneaky old man might still be messing around with the timeline. Maybe Paramount Plus will finally answer the question in its reboot of the series.

The Dan Schneider ‘Quiet on Set’ lawsuit, explained https://wegotthiscovered.moviesx.org/celebrities/the-dan-schneider-quiet-on-set-lawsuit-explained/ https://wegotthiscovered.moviesx.org/celebrities/the-dan-schneider-quiet-on-set-lawsuit-explained/#respond Thu, 02 May 2024 11:32:36 +0000 https://wegotthiscovered.moviesx.org/?p=1690045 The former Nickelodeon kingpin is officially suing the hit Max series. ]]>

Max docies Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Kids’ TV knocked the legacy of Nickelodeon and shocked the entertainment industry as a whole, thanks to its tragic and alarming expose of the sexual abuse and other mistreatment suffered by many Nickelodeon stars of the 1990s and 2000s. Generally on set of series helmed by former Nickelodeon golden boy, Dan Schneider.

The network already ended its working relationship with Schneider back in 2019, in the face of misconduct allegations and various other inappropriate behavior from his past coming to light in the wake of the #MeToo era. However, Quiet on Set has certainly caused Schneider’s reputation to sink even further, which is why the former producer is now hitting back at the series’ creators with a defamation lawsuit.

Dan Schneider is suing Investigation Discovery for defamation

Schneider, whose hit shows include Drake and Josh, iCarly, and The Amanda Show, filed a defamation lawsuit against Quiet on Set helmers Investigation Discovery on Wednesday, May 1, on the grounds that the show is guilty of “falsely implying” he sexually abused children who worked on his various series.

Schneider’s lawsuit claims that his portrayal in Quiet on Set is a “hit job” and that, while he cannot deny that two child sexual abs were employed on his Nickelodeon series, he had “no knowledge of their abuse” and “was not a child sexual ab himself.” The filing argues that “for the sake of clickbait, ratings, and views — or put differently, money — Defendants have destroyed Schneider’s reputation and legacy through the false statements and implications that Schneider is exactly that,”

Alongside Investigation Discovery, parent company Warner Bros. Discovery and production companies Maxine Productions and Sony Pictures Television are likewise named in the filing. Schneider is seeking unspecified damages as well as a court order that would force producers to either remove the ages of the five-part series he deems defamatory or else wipe the documentary from streaming all together. This is likely to be something WBD would like to avoid at all costs as Quiet on Set became the most-watched Max TV title ever when it debuted on March 17.

In a statement released alongside the lawsuit, Schneider itted that he may be guilty of “mistakes I made and poor judgment I exhibited during my time at Nickelodeon.” However, he maintains that he had “no choice but to take legal action against the people behind [Quiet on Set].” Schneider continued: “They went beyond reporting the truth and falsely implied that I was involved in or facilitated horrific crimes for which actual child predators have been prosecuted and convicted.”

The lawsuit specifies various instances in the program that Schneider and his representatives allege employ a “manipulative use of editing and photographs to conflate Schneider” with convicted ab Brian Peck, who assaulted Drake Bell when he was 15 years old. Episode 1, for instance, ends with discussion of a “suspected child predator,” but no pictorial evidence of them is shown. Schneider alleges this was done to encourage viewers to conclude that he himself was the predator.

“The only reason to include Schneider’s image in this context was to falsely equate Schneider with Peck; the viewer is left to infer that just as Peck was a child sexual ab, so was Schneider,” the complaint reads.

The key accusation here is that Schneider is claiming that producers acted with “actual malice and purposeful disregard for the truth” regarding his portrayal in the series. This alleged intent is the big thing that Schneider and his lawyers will have to prove if they’re going to successfully sue Quiet on Set. No court date has yet been arranged.

Disgusted Bill Maher blasts Disney for hiring Brian Peck, and calls out the hypocrisy of Hollywood https://wegotthiscovered.moviesx.org/news/disgusted-bill-maher-blasts-disney-for-hiring-brian-peck-and-calls-out-the-hypocrisy-of-hollywood/ Mon, 22 Apr 2024 17:18:40 +0000 https://wegotthiscovered.moviesx.org/?p=1685718 Furious over the reveals in ‘Quiet on Set,’ Bill Maher rants about Hollywood, and surprisingly defends Ron DeSantis.]]>

Content advisory: This article mentions child sex abuse and assault, please take care while reading.

Bill Maher pulled no punches while taking shots at Disney in a rant sparked by the recent docies Quiet on the Set that also found Maher surprisingly defending “evil governor” Ron DeSantis.

Maher ended his weekly Real Time show with his usual “New Rules” segment and this week he began it by bringing up the 4-episode Max docies Quiet on Set, which was so popular that they produced a follow-up episode. The series mostly focuses on child stars who were sexually abused while working at Nickelodeon, including by Brian Peck, who was found guilty in a court of law of sexual assault of Drake Bell, yet only served 16 months in prison. Clearly furious over this — like most normal human beings would be — Maher noted that he believes it’s every adult’s job to protect children.

In disgust, Maher characterized Quiet on Set as “Scene after scene, clip after clip, of the child stars of their day being subjected to obviously inappropriate, highly sexualized degradation.”

Maher, who’s politically described himself as a “classic liberal,” surprised many by bringing up Florida governor Ron DeSantis to say something positive about him, as he pivoted from Nickelodeon and segued to Disney. Maher stated, “It must be pointed out that when the evil governor of Florida was saying the exact same thing about kids and creepy stuff at Disney — that liberals now find intolerable at Nickelodeon — he was dismissed as a hick and a bigot.”

Maher was mostly referring to those defending Disney over DeSantis’ claims that the Mickey Mouse company sexualized children.

Maher then took aim directly at Disney, as if in a mood to find out how it can be so different from Nickelodeon, considering it’s the other major company in Hollywood that’s built around showcasing children as stars of their content.

First, Maher noted, “A 2014 CNN report discovered that at least 35 Disney employees had been arrested for sex crimes against children.”

Maher went on to mention former Disney child star Alyson Stoner, who once said she “narrowly survived the toddler-to-trainwreck pipeline.”

Another former Disney child star, Cole Sprouse, once said that “young actresses at the Disney channel were heavily sexualized,” which is something Maher also brought up.

Then, Maher surprised everyone by turning it political, saying, “DeSantis wasn’t wrong but we’re so tribal now that the left will overlook child-f***ing if the guy from the wrong party calls it out.”

Obviously fed up, Maher reserved his deepest anger for one more shot at Disney in regards to Brian Peck, making one wonder which company was worse in their relations with the convicted child molester: Nickelodeon or Disney?

“Get this,” Maher said, “after Brian Peck, who was one of the lead creeps at Nickelodeon, served 16 months in prison for the molesting he did there — Disney hired him!”

Enraged, the long-time host added that Disney had him “work on a children’s series!”

The frustration of Maher is felt by all rational people in this society, regardless of their political affiliation. The only people he didn’t call out were those in Hollywood who defended Brian Peck at the time, but he did blast Hollywood altogether with one last jab. Despite the comedian being in no joking mood he saved that one, though with a sad tone.

“For pedophiles in Hollywood,” Maher told his audience, “it’s a small world after all.”

Investigation Discovery’s Quiet On Set rocked the entertainment industry with a 4 part documentary series about child abuse in children’s programming.

For a time, this was largely an open secret. Nickelodeon profited from popular series such as All That, The Amanda Show, and iCarly, all of which were born from the mind of Dan Schneider. However, there was a dark side and Schneider was known for inappropriate behavior behind the scenes.

In episode 5 of Quiet On Set, entitled, “Breaking the Silence,” Soledad O’Brien reunites several of the central figures of the documentary for the first time since the original episodes aired. There, she interviews Drake & Josh star Drake Bell and All That cast Giovannie Samuels and Bryan Hearne. These performers address the reaction to the documentary and how it’s impacted them. The resulting 40 minutes was a moving retreading of heartbreaking material that was a satisfying wrap-up to the series.

Will there be an episode 6 of Quiet On Set?

Episode 5 of Quiet On Set was a natural progression of the series. The dark secrets of Nickelodeon were so harrowing that there had to be some response. Schneider released a 19-minute apology video that largely fell on deaf ears. For many, it was too little too late. And in any case, time shouldn’t be yielded to the person who spent years profiting from the pain of children. Episode 5 lets these stars have their time to discuss the ramifications of their experiences. Investigation Discovery head, Jason Sarlanis, opened up to The Hollywood Reporter that before the first episode aired, they were inclined to do a follow-up.

“In of specifically extending Quiet on Set in its first series to an episode that captured some of the aftermath, I think we first started talking to [executive producers] Mary [Robertson] and Emma [Schwartz] right after the trailer dropped. And we worked together with them mostly to be able to produce this additional episode after the show itself had been seen so that we could create this platform for our incredibly brave contributors to in the very conversation that we were alluding to. There have been hundreds of media outlets and content creators who have evolved this story. We wanted to give that platform back the a very people whose story it really is.”

However, it is unclear if Investigation Discovery will release more content regarding these concepts. No plans for episode 6 have been made public as of yet. Sarlanis intimated to the outlet that they did not believe Quiet On Set was definitively over, either.

“The themes that Mary and Emma are tackling with Quiet on Set are something that we are committed to continuing to shine a light on, whether or not it’s more of Quiet on Set, or other projects we could do together. What was so incredible about Quiet on Set is that it was expertly crafted to give a platform for this specific story and example of systemic abuse.”

In fairness, there are many more directions that this story could lead. Robertson mentioned that the pouring of outrage has made many consider future federal legislation to protect children in the entertainment industry.

Audiences can view all 5 episodes of Quiet On Set streaming on Max.

‘The Legend of Korra’: How old is Korra in season 4? https://wegotthiscovered.moviesx.org/tv/the-legend-of-korra-how-old-is-korra-in-season-4/ https://wegotthiscovered.moviesx.org/tv/the-legend-of-korra-how-old-is-korra-in-season-4/#respond Wed, 10 Apr 2024 21:30:16 +0000 https://wegotthiscovered.moviesx.org/?p=1681538 Korra's hero's journey occurs slightly after Aang's.]]>

Creating a follow-up to Avatar: The Last Airbender was not always going to be an easy endeavor. But the creators of the series outdid themselves with The Legend of Korra.

The sequel series to Aang’s (Zach Tyler Eisen) story depicts the next Avatar in the cycle. And despite being the reincarnation of her predecessor, Korra (Janet Varney) could not be more different. Unlike Aang, who is loyal to his Monk upbringing, Korra does not title herself a pacifist. Born into the Water Tribe, Korra’s status as the Avatar was obvious from the beginning when she started bending multiple elements at a young age.

Korra doesn’t differ from Aang just personality-wise. Her story is much different than Aang’s coming-of-age tale. Responsibility is thrust upon Aang probably at too young of an age. Before even hitting puberty, Aang has to depose a dictator, bring balance to the world, and master the rest of the elements. Korra is well into her teens by the time her story begins and already a powerful bender.

What is Korra’s age in season 4?

When The Legend of Korra was first conceived, it was initially supposed to be a miniseries. The idea was to show Aang’s successor, a teenager from the Water Tribe. But after the first batch of episodes aired, Korra became a success. The show was different enough from the original because of the new conflicts brought on by the age difference between the two characters.

In the first season, Korra is 17 years old and set in her ways. She has mastered most of her bending, save for air, which is the polar opposite of water. Besides having to defeat Amon, Korra’s world is mostly stable. Aang and his crew brought together the four nations for an era of peace. They created a new city that gave way to technological innovations. Because Korra is so headstrong, she naturally doesn’t fit into a world set on the course of healing.

Unlike Avatar: The Last Airbender, Korra takes place over a longer period. Though the first three seasons take place close together, there is a large time jump in the last season. After Korra experiences significant physical and emotional trauma at the hands of Zaheer (Henry Rollins), she takes time away from Republic City to heal. There are three years between seasons 3 and 4, making Korra in her early 20’s at the beginning of the final season.

This time in The Legend of Korra is when the titular character learns the most. She has to figuratively and literally rid herself of the poison of her past and embark on a new chapter in her life. Korra experiences the most maturity this season and finally turns into the Avatar she was destined to be.

Why did Nickelodeon’s ‘Zoey 101’ star Matthew Underwood quit acting? Trigger Warning: The following article contains references to child sexual abuse, please take care while reading.

In the wake of the Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV docies, former Nickelodeon stars are breaking the silence and telling their stories of abuse in Hollywood. Unfortunately, the toxic culture that seems to permeate Nickelodeon’s young actors has also traumatized Zoey 101 star Matthew Underwood, who was brave enough to share why he quit acting.

Spearhead by Drake & Josh star Drake Bell’s gut-wrenching testimony, Quiet on Set has investigated how Nickelodeon favored the action of groomers and sexual abs on set. After the docies went viral, other actors added their voices to the crowd, denouncing the toxic culture that led so many underaged stars to be exposed to sexual predators.

Underwood took the role of Logan Reese on Zoey 101, a popular Nickelodeon series that aired from 2005 to 2008. He also returned to the revival movie Zoey 102, released in 2023. Underwood remained away from the spotlight between these two projects, taking a significant hiatus from his acting career from 2009 to 2017. While the reason Underwood quit acting is not directly connected to Nickelodeon, he did step away from performing after being sexually harassed.

Matthew Underwood’s sexual harassment allegations

In his post on Instagram, the actor reveals he was groomed and molested by his best friend’s father at the age of 13. The horrible betrayal at the hands of an adult he trusted led Underwood to push away his friends and isolate himself. Sadly, Underwood was forced to relieve his abuse a few years later when an unnamed agent sexually harassed the star. At the time, Underwood was 19 years old.

The sexual harassment by his agent echoed the painful memory of being abused by a trusted adult. So, after reporting the criminal to the agency, Underwood decided to quit acting. The agent who harassed Underwood got fired but landed on his feet and still works in the industry. That’s not an isolated case, as the Nickelodeon exposé shows Hollywood tends to be too lenient with abs.

While Underwood’s allegations help paint a grim picture of young actors in Hollywood, the star came forward after being bombarded by messages demanding him to take a stance on the Quiet on Set controversy. As Underwood rightfully puts it, everyone has their own trauma to process and experiences they don’t want to relive. So, if an actor is being quiet about the subject, they might have their reason. Instead of demanding people to comment on Quiet on Set, fans would do better diverting their energy to ing those who already spoke up.

What happened to Brandi from ‘Quiet on Set?’ https://wegotthiscovered.moviesx.org/tv/what-happened-to-brandi-from-quiet-on-set/ https://wegotthiscovered.moviesx.org/tv/what-happened-to-brandi-from-quiet-on-set/#respond Fri, 29 Mar 2024 17:54:20 +0000 https://wegotthiscovered.moviesx.org/?p=1677688 The young girl was an extra on 'The Amanda Show' when she met convicted pedophile Jason Handy.]]>

The documentary series Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV made shocking revelations about sexual predatory behavior on the sets of several Nickelodeon programs.

Trigger Warning: This article talks about sexual assault and abuse. Please take care while reading.

One particularly upsetting detail shared on the Investigation Discovery (ID) series referenced a young girl, named in the documentary as Brandi, who was one of the victims of All That and The Amanda Show production assistant Jason Michael Handy. Brandi’s mom is one of the several people interviewed for Quiet on Set.

Brandi’s disturbing interactions with Jason Handy

Brandi, whose name viewers believe might be an alias, was an extra on an episode of The Amanda Show as an 11-year-old girl in the early 2000s. After her experience working for Nickelodeon, she exchanged e-mail addresses with Jason Handy who, according to her mother (who goes by MJ on the ID show), would e-mail her frequently during that period.

While the exchanges, Brandi’s mom says in the docu-series, seemed innocent at first, they soon turned sexual in nature when the much older man sent the child a picture of himself naked, masturbating. According to Brandi’s mom, in the e-mail, Jason said he “had sent it to her because he wanted her to see that he was thinking of her.” The young girl ran to her bedroom crying after opening it.

At the time, Brandi’s mom did not involve the police for fear it would reflect badly on her as a parent. The girl left the film and television industry for good. Both her identity and her current whereabouts were kept secret in the ID series.

What happened to Jason Handy?

A tip unrelated to Brandi’s case led to Handy’s arrest in April 2003. According to the docu-series, police found over 10,000 images of children, over 1,700 images of young girls in erotic poses, and seven videos of children engaged in sexually explicit conduct in his home. In a personal journal, the man had detailed his sexual urges, writing “I am a pedophile, full-blown,” “I really have been giving into my desire for little girls these past few weeks,” and “I even struggle on a day-to-day basis of how I can find a victim to rape if I have to.”

Brandi was one of the only victims to cooperate with the investigation, which also included another guest star on another Nickelodeon production — Cousin Skeeter — who was assaulted by the PA at her home in 2000.

Handy was sentenced to six years in prison after pleading no contest to two felony counts and a misdemeanor, per the Los Angeles Times. After his release in 2009, he moved to North Carolina where he ed as a sex offender, but in 2014 he was arrested again. According to multiple reports, Handy is now incarcerated at the Federal Correctional Institution in Petersburg, Virginia, and his release date is August 28, 2038.
