Even as Pamela Anderson finds herself in the middle of a career renaissance, her fans are discovering just how poorly the international icon was treated by the entertainment industry, including by the producers of Baywatch. 4o183p

During an interview with Extra, Pamela and her son Brandon Thomas Lee discussed her decision to come forward with her life story, as well as how little she’s raked in from the global juggernaut series.

Anderson’s son Brandon has her back, slamming the folks behind Baywatch for taking advantage of his mother while her journey in show business was still in its infancy.

“When I go back and I even look at, you know, past deals or residual checks that come in — I mean, people would be shocked to find out how people really took advantage of her. And took advantage of a young girl making a bad deal on a big show, and she was the biggest star in the world at the time. I think a lot of people made a lot of money off of that, and I think that everybody is going to have to have their day where we come knocking.”

Seeing a child born into fame behave with such grace, maturity, and reflection is truly a breath of fresh air, especially considering all the wacky stuff Brandon must have grown up around. Lee goes on to mention the paltry residual checks Pamela Anderson receives from Baywatch syndication.

“For instance when she makes, I don’t know, $4,000 dollars a year off of Baywatch, that’s a crime. No one would know that.”

It’s true that four grand isn’t a some of money many would turn their noses up at, but when you think about the popularity of Baywatch, and the profits she’s generated for others — it does seem like a less than stellar sum of money.

But with the release of her new book Love, Pamela and Netflix documentary Pamela: A Love Story, her fans are finally grasping the truth behind all the fabrications. And maybe the entertainment industry will finally pay Pam Anderson what she’s owed — if not residuals, then at least some hard-earned respect, and a chance to shine.

Hollywood’s most cringeworthy couple, previously known for such normal person antics as drinking each others’ blood, French-kissing on the red carpet, and owning thorny engagement rings are back at it just in time for the spooky season. Kelly and Fox decided to “bless” the world by cosplaying as Tommy Lee and Pamela Anderson.

Most disturbingly and unnecessarily, they decided to double it up with Kelly snorting some sort of white power off Fox’s chest. Very cool thing to post online! The Hollywood couple love to act more like high school lovers than people in their thirties with careers, but who are we to judge?

Exactly where the likely fake cocaine snorting ranks among their worst/best moments is very, very hard to rank. It’s like picking which of the Transformers movies is the worst one, they all outdo each other in their own terrible ways, especially if you start thinking about Transformers 4 and that scene.

The Anderson and Lee relationship has been immortalized and dramatized in the Pam & Tommy series, with Lily James and Sebastian Stan playing them respectively. One of the year’s biggest hits, it saw plenty of recognition at the 2022 Emmys with ten nominations.

Thank our lucky stars it wasn’t Kelly and Fox who got cast in the series.

Mötley Crüe drummer Tommy Lee let it all hang out on Wednesday night — quite literally — by posting a full frontal nude on Instagram that somehow stayed up for hours despite the clear and obvious violation of the platform’s rules.

Lee, who was the subject of Hulu’s biographical miniseries, Pam & Tommy, posted the tawdry snap while sitting naked on what appeared to be the corner of his bathtub. “Ooooopppsss,” he captioned the photo, clearly aware of what he was doing.

The image was eventually removed from Instagram, but because getting something off the internet is like taking pee out of a swimming pool, the photo (you can see the NSFW version here) has lived on in posterity on Twitter, which has no such nudity guidelines.

Still, despite the fact that Lee has a reputation that precedes him over his notably large manhood, his followers were certainly not expecting to see his whole ass hog while doing a leisurely scroll through Instagram in the wee (pun fully intended) hours of Thursday morning. As such, many sounded off accordingly, expressing their shock and horror.

“I DID NOT NEED TO SEE TOMMY LEE’S DICK ON MY INSTAGRAM FEED TOMMY WHAT THE F**K,” one all-caps exclaimed.

Quite understandably, many reacted with memes at the unexpected sight of all of Tommy Lee.

Interestingly enough, the 59-year-old’s famous member had a notable scene in the Hulu miniseries, in which Lee (portrayed by Sebastian Stan) had a full-on conversation with his penis (voiced by Jason Mantzoukas) shortly after he began dating Pamela Anderson. The scene was inspired by an actual anecdote in Lee’s 2005 memoir Tommyland, in which he had a similar, albeit fictional, conversation with his penis.

Maybe he ought to confide with himself again next time before he starts posting on main.

Lily James and Sebastian Stan’s striking performances as Pamela Anderson and Tommy Lee have not gone unnoticed, as the on-screen couple just snagged for themselves their first-ever Emmy Awards nominations for the Hulu miniseries, Pam & Tommy. 

In what many have claimed is the pair’s best performance to date, James and Stan have been nominated for Outstanding Lead Actor and Actress in a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie, respectively. This makes them both first-time nominees in Emmys history, and while the pair are up against some serious contenders, this is still a big win for them. 

In the awards ceremony, Stan is up against Oscar Isaac for Scenes From A Marriage, Andrew Garfield for Under the Banner of Heaven, Colin Firth for The Staircase, Michael Keaton for Dopesick, and Himesh Patel for Station Eleven, while James is nominated alongside Toni Collette for The Staircase, Julia Garner for Inventing Anna, Sarah Paulson for American Crime Story FX, Margaret Qualley for Maid, and Amanda Seyfried for The Dropout. 

Pam & Tommy follows the marriage between model and actress Pamela Anderson and Mötley Crue frontman Tommy Lee, as well as the illegal distribution of their sex tape. The series is based on the Amanda Chicago Lewis’ Rolling Stone article titled “Pam and Tommy: The Untold Story of the World’s Most Infamous Sex Tape.” It received a positive critical reception, with much praise going to the performances of its two lead stars. Nick Offerman, Seth Rogen, and Taylor Schilling round out the main cast, and the show’s eight episodes are available to stream on Hulu.  

Sebastian Stan ed Jennifer Aniston in Variety’s Actors on Actors series, and their conversation spanned great lengths and quickly rose to new heights — pun intended.

Stan portrayed Tommy Lee in Hulu’s Pam & Tommy, detailing the Motley Crue drummer’s hot and heavy romance with Pamela Anderson. Their love affair was fueled by ion and sex, leading to Stan acting out a scene in which he talks to his appendage. Yes, that appendage.

Lee previously referred to his penis as a character of its own, so it was only (in)appropriate that it would also be featured in the series. When Anniston asked Stan how he prepared to have a conversation with his member, he said it was all fascinating.

ANISTON: How do you prepare for that? How does it read to you on the page?
STAN: The train of thought starts to go into panic mode. It was a tricky scene to shoot because we didn’t know if it was really going to work — if it was going to be too much or not.
ANISTON: Did you shoot it kind of two ways?
STAN: No. There were components, manual and prosthetics and things, and people with wires sort of plugging things into sockets.
ANISTON: That’s crazy.
STAN: Well, yeah. Look, we have the benefits of CGI. But we went old school for it, which was an interesting experience.
ANISTON: Very bold. Very brave.

Bold and brave are certainly two ways to describe it! Fans of the series found those scenes to be among the most hilarious. While not quite as universal as an inner dialogue, the conversation between Lee and his penis helped the writers of Pam & Tommy make the series next level. It made a certain kind of sense that when trying to find the balance between love and lust, that he’d be thinking with both heads.

Pam & Tommy was an extremely fun ride through one of the biggest celebrity scandals of the 1990s. The show balanced comedy with depressing insights into how the release of a sex tape impacted Pamela Anderson’s mental health, and ended up garnering rave reviews.

Stars Sebastian Stan, Lily James, and Seth Rogen (who also produced the show) appeared at Deadline’s Contenders Television over the weekend to discuss how they approached the story and characters. Rogen plays the put-upon and increasingly desperate handyman Rand Gaulthier, whose harebrained scheme to cash in on the tape goes awry.

At the he expanded on how he tried to shed his usual affable on-screen personality for something darker for the Hulu series.

“I know I’m inherently likable as an actor, and I didn’t want the character to be too likable. Something that we actually tried to modulate, was how many of the things that I generally do as a performer that make me likable do I do? I don’t laugh in the movie at all. I don’t smile, really, ever. I don’t do any of the affable behaviors that I think make me someone that people feel like they know and can relate to.

It is the instinct of a lot of actors, I’ve found, to like make their characters highly redeemable in some way, or they have to like something about the character. I’m not that kind of actor – like, I liked nothing about Rand. I found him not a great person, by any means, and I found that he was not someone that I related to in any way.”

Rogen also confirmed he’d never intentionally met the real Rand Gaultier, but that they may have crossed paths inadvertently.

“Rand grows weed in Northern California, so I might have met him organically just through my day-to-day life without knowing it.”

Pam & Tommy was slightly overshadowed by Pamela Anderson publically stating her unhappiness that the show was dredging up one of the most miserable episodes in her life without her involvement. It appears that the producers attempted to her to get her take on the show, but she didn’t return their calls.

This leaves a faint smell of hypocrisy, as the show strongly sympathizes with Anderson’s loss of privacy and public humiliation while also making bank from doing just that.

Anderson has said she felt “violated” by the show and is preparing to “tell the real story” in a new Netflix documentary.

We’ve had movies about games, games about movies, and now we’re getting a movie about the place where you rented those games. Kind of. Craig Gillespie, director of Disney’s Cruella and Hulu’s Pam & Tommy, has been tapped to helm a new MGM feature about last year’s jaw-dropping GameStop stock price incident, in which a handful of online investors (and a fair share of gamers, and, well, online trolls) drove the market price of the brick-and-mortar video game outlet through the roof, causing some to claim the price had been artificially manipulated.

Given that his last two movies were about an infamous sex tape scandal and an imaginary fashion designer who favors puppy skin coats, the new project’s parameters seem like they may be squarely in Gillespie’s wheelhouse.

According to Deadline, the new film, entitled The Antisocial Network, will follow the chaos that ensued after a group of Redditors drove the price of GameStop stock into the stratosphere, making it the first so-called “meme-stock.” The rise in price attracted an immense amount of media coverage — not to mention the outrage of many traditional investors — before the stock tumbled back down to earth a few days later. MGM landed the rights to the film, which is based on a book proposal of the same name by author Ben Mezrich, just weeks after the in real-life events played out. Mezrich is the author of The Social Network, which was adapted into the Oscar-winning movie of the same name by MGM’s Michael De Luca. This project will reunite De Luca and Mezrich in hopes of striking gold anew.

Gillespie is no stranger to putting his own successful stamp on projects ripped from the headlines. In addition to Hulu’s well-regarded Pam & Tommy miniseries, Gillespie won his own share of Oscar gold with I, Tonya, which recounted the story of Olympic skater Tonya Harding, and brought home a Best ing Actress award for Allison Janney, who portrayed the skater’s mother on screen.

Orange Is the New Black writers Lauren Schuker Blum and Rebecca Angelo will handle the screenplay. In addition to De Luca, Aaron Ryder of Ryder Picture Company will produce. Kevin Ulrich, Gillespie, Mezrich, and Tyler Winklevoss will executive produce. The project is expected to begin production in the fall.

Pam & Tommy wrapped up yesterday on Hulu. The miniseries has been a bizarre ride through mid-’90s Los Angeles, zeroing in on how Hollywood treats women, the birth of the internet, and why it is absolutely crucial not to stiff construction workers on a bill.

Star Lily James, who underwent an incredible physical transformation in order to play Baywatch-era Pamela Anderson, has now opened up on her feelings on the show in a new interview with The Hollywood Reporter. Speaking at an event to celebrate the finale, she said:

“I was so drawn into the scripts because they’re so unexpected; it starts in one place and ends in another. It explores our own culpability within our prejudice and our treatment of, particularly, women in the media and explores privacy and the violation of privacy. There was so much in it that was deeply surprising but then when you look at how we treated Pamela and women in these instances and you look at now and think, ‘Oh it’s still the same, we’re still doing it.’ I just felt like it was timely because we continue to treat and reduce women in the media.”

While all she said is indeed true, James’ statement about the way we continue to mistreat women in the media will raise eyebrows considering that the actual Pamela Anderson isn’t at all happy with Pam & Tommy.

The showrunners and Lily James reached out to Anderson while developing the show but never received a response. However, sources close to her have said the show’s focus on her stolen sex tape has exposed old trauma. Her friend Courtney Love has claimed that the Baywatch star still feels “violated to this day,” while another source revealed this part of her life being discussed at length is “very painful” for her, and that it’s “shocking” that Hulu would make it without her consent.

Recently, Anderson finally addressed the series with a note on her Instagram , teasing a Netflix documentary that will “tell the real story.”

There’s a counterargument that biopics should need the approval of their subjects as if this were a rule we’d be unlikely to see the less pleasant sides of their lives. Even so, it’s a little galling to hear James praising the show for exploring a “violation of privacy” in these circumstances.

Foreign actors play Americans, so often viewers don’t find it jarring when people like Benedict Cumberbatch speak in their regular voices, but this can still rattle with actress Lily James struggling to stop sounding like Pamela Anderson.

The Pam & Tommy star revealed her difficulty in getting back her accent while speaking to The Hollywood Reporter yesterday at the finale of the Hulu miniseries where she played the American model and Baywatch star. She expressed her frustration in still speaking in an American accent while talking about her experience on the show chronicling Anderson and former husband Tommy Lee’s stolen and distributed sex tape. She then expressed dismay at the moment being filmed before having to pause and remind herself of where she ultimately got her start in life.

“I keep talking in an American accent. What is happening to me? Ugh … I’m English Lily, I’m English.”

Fan reaction to the clip was primarily positive. Several called her a queen, others posted emojis which indicated the moment made them laugh, and another used a clip from The Office of Steve Carell’s Michael Scott being happy at the latest Dunder Mifflin Scranton branch goings-on and hijinks to capture their joy.

James will have an opportunity to return to her form in the romantic comedy What’s Love Got to Do With It? later this year. The piece is set to look at love and marriage and is said to be set between London and South Asia.

Sebastian Stan is most famous for playing Bucky Barnes in the MCU, with his portrayal of the formerly brainwashed metal-armed super soldier earning him a ionate fanbase around the world. But this success hasn’t caused Stan to rest on his laurels.

He’s impressed in Logan Lucky, I, Tonya, and Monday and is currently killing it on the excellent Hulu series Pam & Tommy in his energetic and eccentric performance as Mötley Crüe drummer Tommy Lee. Now, in a new interview with IndieWire, Stan explained that if he finds himself worried about what would happen if he played a role, he takes it:

“More and more as I’ve gotten older, when I read something that really kind of freaks me out a little bit and I get the voice that’s like, ‘Don’t ever go near this,’ then I’m more drawn to it as a result. I find usually that fear is a good indicator of something that I have to sort of step into perhaps to understand better.”

He went on to reveal that stardom hasn’t resulted in an uptick in confidence and security about his profession, saying:

“I feel like I’m just as anxious now about what do I do next as I was a few years ago. I don’t know if that’s ever going to change, and I don’t know if I’m ever going to want it to change. I hate comfort. I don’t like to feel comfortable, work-wise. I feel it’s easy to get comfortable. I think it’s easy to get sort of trapped as an actor and to just do things.”

Pam & Tommy has been a fine showcase of Stan’s talents, with his completely committed performance as Lee managing to make the guy simultaneously obnoxious, threatening, and strangely sympathetic. Beyond all that, there’s also a scene where Stan’s Lee has a conversation with his own dick (voiced by Jason Mantzoukas), a scene that most actors might balk at.

We should also expect to see Stan returning as Bucky soon. While there’s no confirmation of a second season of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, it seems like a no-brainer for Bucky to appear in Captain America 4, as well as likely also playing a role in the second season of What If…? More on all those as we hear it.

New episodes of Pam & Tommy air on Hulu on Wednesdays, with the show’s finale coming on March 9.

Pamela Anderson did not like the Pam and Tommy series about her troubled relationship with musician Tommy Lee, pledged to never even watch its trailer, and is now moving forward with her own look at her life and career on Netflix.

The streaming service announced the news in a tweet earlier today. It was accompanied by an image of Anderson and a note from the model and actress which said her story is filled with imperfections and misconceptions, and that she is strong.

“[I am] not a victim, but a survivor,” Anderson wrote. “And alive to tell the real story.”

Netflix noted the project has been in the works for several years, as additional information was reported by Variety. One of her sons she shares with Lee, Brandon Thomas, will serve as a producer, and other son Dylan s it.

The piece does not have a release date at this time, but is described as an “intimate portrait embedded in the life of Pamela Anderson as she looks back at her professional and personal path and prepares for the next steps.” She has lived well and has been well-known, so fans will be curious to see what archival footage and journals will reveal here.

Until it debuts, those interested in her experiences with Lee and their stolen sex tape can continue to watch the fictionalized Pam and Tommy miniseries on Hulu. It will air its final episode Wednesday, and features Sebastian Stan as Lee, Lily James as Anderson, Seth Rogen as Rand Gauthier, and Nick Offerman as pornographer Uncle Miltie.

Everyone’s talking about Hulu’s Pam & Tommy, which has been winning praise from critics, particularly towards the performances of stars Lily James and Sebastian Stan for their portrayals of the titular tabloid fodder couple.

Seth Rogen and Nick Offerman lend as Rand Gauthier and Michael Morrison, the two men responsible for the distribution and sales of the infamous sex tape of the famous couple. Recently, Rogen took to Twitter to show off some behind the scenes looks at the retro outfits he donned while acting on the show.

The outfits, which feature long and short-sleeved tops tucked into jeans, are very reminiscent of the fashion of the late 1990s, in which the series is set. He captioned the tweet: “Watch #pamandtommy on Hulu now and enjoy the glory of my outfits:”

Gauthier was an electrician and carpenter who was hired by Lee to renovate a part of his home. When the wildman drummer refused to pay him for his services, and eventually fires him, he takes it upon himself to get his payment by all means.

He begins to stalk Lee’s Malibu mansion, tracking the couple’s movements for several months, later breaking in and stealing a safe. Little did he know the safe contained the couple’s sex tape, which he eventually sold on the internet and made a fortune, becoming arguably the first viral sensation.

Pam & Tommy was created by Robert Siegel, with Rogen and Evan Goldberg executive-producing under their production company, Point Grey Pictures. While the first three episodes aired at once, subsequent episodes will be released weekly.
