‘Bro wanted to get out so fast’: The ‘villain’ everyone missed between Tyler the Creator ditching Diddy the Joker and WB’s legal notice https://wegotthiscovered.moviesx.org/celebrities/bro-wanted-to-get-out-so-fast-the-villain-everyone-missed-between-tyler-the-creator-ditching-diddy-the-joker-and-wbs-legal-notice/ https://wegotthiscovered.moviesx.org/celebrities/bro-wanted-to-get-out-so-fast-the-villain-everyone-missed-between-tyler-the-creator-ditching-diddy-the-joker-and-wbs-legal-notice/#respond Sun, 03 Nov 2024 20:18:43 +0000 https://wegotthiscovered.moviesx.org/?p=1781833 Turns out it wasn't a costume but a "Diddy-guise" for his true villainy.]]>

Who knew that Sean “Diddy” Combs channeling one of pop culture’s most infamous villains would send Warner Bros. into a shiver? Yet, it’s only now that we’re connecting the dots.

Let’s rewind to 2022, when Diddy donned the iconic purple suit and green hair, transforming himself into the Clown Prince of Crime for Halloween. Little did he know that his spot-on portrayal would catch the attention of Warner Bros., who allegedly sent him a cease-and-desist letter for being “too good” at embodying the Joker. Diddy, in his trademark bravado, took to Instagram and Jimmy Kimmel Live! to share his disbelief, daring the studio’s lawyers to “watch what I do.”

“Tomorrow, Warner Brothers lawyers, can you see me? Put this camera on me right here. Head of legal, tomorrow, watch what I do.”

Maybe, just maybe, Warner Bros. caught a whiff of something we all missed – a glimpse of the real bad guy hiding behind the clown makeup. Now, a resurfaced video from 2022 shows Diddy in full Joker regalia, running amok on the streets and even stopping Tyler, The Creator in his tracks.  Tyler, visibly impressed, praised the costume as “top tier,” but little did he know that he was face-to-face with a man whose true self was about to implode.

X s are now putting two and two together, realizing they may have missed the warning signs between Tyler’s hasty retreat, Warner Bros.’ legal action, and Diddy’s ultimate unraveling.

Hindsight is 20/20, but these digital detectives might be onto something. The 54-year-old rapper is currently cooling his heels at the notorious Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, awaiting trial on charges of racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking, fraud, and transportation for prostitution. The allegations paint a picture of Diddy as the ultimate villain, with grotesque details oozing out of the investigation. A bombshell new book accuses Diddy of beating his late girlfriend and tells the scandalous tale of the rapper filming his sexual acts with a male teenage popstar.

A former Playboy recalls Diddy obsessively playing Jennifer Lopez’s music videos on a loop while his “freak off” party spiraled into an “angry and violent” mess. And just when you thought it couldn’t possibly get any more depraved, a fresh lawsuit alleges Diddy assaulted a 10-year-old boy. With even his personal trainer accusing him of drugging and sexual assault, it looks like Diddy’s headed for a catastrophic downfall that threatens to take Kanye West along for the ride as well. For now, the industry, including those directly linked to the disgraced singer, is holding on to its silence and choosing to not comment on the sensitive issue as rumors about A-listers being active participants in Diddy’s “freak offs” continue to swirl.

When all is said and done, it seems Diddy’s Joker costume was less a lighthearted homage to a make-believe baddie and more a bone-chilling peek into his own demented psyche. As the old adage goes, “You either die a hero or live long enough to see yourself become the villain.” In Diddy’s case, he may have been the villain all along.

Tyler, The Creator says he wants to ‘finally settle down’ and become a father and fans are utterly confused https://wegotthiscovered.moviesx.org/music/tyler-the-creator-says-he-wants-to-finally-settle-down-and-become-a-father-and-fans-are-utterly-confused/ https://wegotthiscovered.moviesx.org/music/tyler-the-creator-says-he-wants-to-finally-settle-down-and-become-a-father-and-fans-are-utterly-confused/#respond Tue, 29 Oct 2024 10:14:27 +0000 https://wegotthiscovered.moviesx.org/?p=1777496 The new song has revived an age-old question about the musician. ]]>

Tyler, The Creator has sent fans into a state of confusion on his new album CHROMAKAOPIA, with the lyrics of one song garnering attention just hours after its release.

The rapper and singer dropped the project — his sixth album overall and first since 2021’s Call Me If You Get Lost — on Oct. 28, to widespread acclaim from critics and audiences alike. Spanning 14 tracks, the album has been labelled as Tyler’s most introspective to date, and the lyrics of the song “Tomorrow” have got fans talking.

In the song, the rapper muses on the feeling of growing old, but in between mentions of “turning gray” and “gaining weight,” Tyler shocks listeners with an ission that he is contemplating having children, and even tried to pursue fatherhood with an unnamed woman. “My homegirl and I tried [to have a baby],” Tyler croons on the second verse, “I’ll flip the switch and finally settle down.”

While Tyler’s reflection on becoming a parent is groundbreaking enough, especially for an artist known for his hilarious and childish hijinks, the more eagle-eyed fans read even deeper meaning. According to some, “Tomorrow” was also jaw-dropping for the fact that Tyler mentions fathering a child with a woman, which is especially shocking for those who have long thought the musician was gay.

https://twitter.com/iambelcalisb/status/1851001063656341549

“How [is] he gonna do that?,” one fan asked in reference to Tyler sharing a child with a woman, “he is a gay man.” Another X said their ears pricked up at the rapper’s mention of “homegirl,” writing that they “thought [he] was lgbtq.” Elsewhere, one fan noted that the lyrics of “Tomorrow” outline an “interesting direction for him,” and described his revelation about fatherhood as “wild.”

Setting aside the fact that some fans’ reactions seem unaware that gay people can still be fathers — one retorted that he could always “go to the adoption center” — Tyler’s ission seems to oppose the widespread speculation around his sexuality, which has often been fuelled by the artist himself. Over the years, the rapper has flip-flopped on labeling himself as gay, confirming it to be true in a 2015 interview but then denying it later that same year.

There are numerous references to Tyler being gay across his albums, but he was also called out for using numerous homophobic slurs in his earlier work. This lack of clarity around the musician’s sexuality has led some to believe that he is either broadly queer or simply trolling listeners, which seems par for the course for a rapper who once made a cameo in the Jackass Forever movie

https://twitter.com/AreeshaNot/status/1851009019789320412

All this history has now, according to fans, been further confused by the lyrics of “Tomorrow”, but listeners have nonetheless praised the new song as a “banger.” One listener said they “love when artists make songs about [parenthood],” and another urged music fans to “stop sleeping on him NOW.”
It’s not the first time a prominent musician has shared their thoughts about becoming a parent in recent months. In June, Charli XCX’s culture-shifting album Brat featured the song “I think about it all the time,” in which the pop star declared that “a baby might be mine.” I guess the world’s music greats are all growing up, so perhaps a new generation of nepo babies is upon us.

Although he’s thoroughly American by nationality — having been born in Hawthorne, California, in the metropolitan area of Los Angeles, and raised both there and in nearby Ladera Heights — Tyler, the Creator has a rich ethnic ancestry on both sides of his family.

His father is Nigerian with Igbo ancestry (he gets his African surname from his father), and his mother, Bonita Smith, is American of mixed African-American and white European Canadian descent (as per EthniCelebs.com). We bet his family tree makes for some incredibly interesting reading.

Sunday

Last but certainly not least, Doja Cat is undoubtedly going to “Paint The Town Red” during her headlining set, taking the main stage for the first time since 2022, where attendees argued that she should have been a headliner. Other acts set to perform on Sunday are Reneé Rapp, Bebe Rexha, J Balvin, and more.

In the midst of her ongoing Scarlet Tour — where she has been stunning attendees show after show with her onstage theatrics — will her Coachella performance draw some similarities to the tour that has been making waves (for better or for worse) on social media? Is Tyler, the Creator gay? The rumors, explained https://wegotthiscovered.moviesx.org/celebrities/is-tyler-the-creator-gay-the-rumors-explained/ https://wegotthiscovered.moviesx.org/celebrities/is-tyler-the-creator-gay-the-rumors-explained/#respond Thu, 19 Oct 2023 17:10:54 +0000 https://wegotthiscovered.moviesx.org/?p=1607582 The celebrated comedian and rapper has made several references to his sexuality.]]>

Gay rumors are the weird new online trend, it would seem, as theories about everyone from Hugh Jackman and Will Smith to George Clooney and Jordan Peele pop off among fans.

Even those with established records, regarding their sexuality, are coming under scrutiny, as increased visibility among LGBTQ+ people leads to an uptick in queries. As such, each new celebrity who trends — even if its due to an release or unrelated controversy — faces the same question from the online masses. Today, Tyler, the Creator is in the hot seat, and — unlike many of the men listed above — rumors about his sexuality are actually pretty rampant. The question of whether or not the 32-year-old rapper is gay has cropped up frequently over the years, and he’s given us a pretty clear answer.

Tyler, the Creator’s sexuality

If you’re like me, and frequented Vine during the app’s heyday, you know Tyler, the Creator — who’s full name is Tyler Okonma — best from the hilarious snippets he littered the internet with around a decade back. I hear “uh, I’m not finished” and that birthday gift tangent in the back of my mind any time his name is mentioned, but many of his fans are far more familiar with his work on the music scene. Okonma’s a talented rapper, with several award wins under his belt and a legion of fans who line up each time he announces a new release.

Those fans are likely well familiar with Okonma’s relationship history. He’s been clear, in his music, that he’s enjoyed past relationships with both men and women. In “Sorry Not Sorry” he apologizes to “the guys I had to hide” and the “girls I had to lie to,” a set of lyrics that led many to believe he was speaking to the men he dated before he was comfortable going public, and the women he used as shields from the public eye. Its far from the first reference he’s made to having relationships with men in his music, and as far back as 2015 he’s described himself as “gay as f*ck.”

This same sentiment is echoed across a number of interviews, lyrics, and skits from Okonma. He commonly references his gay tendencies, and nods to previous gay experiences. He’s not always associated with men, however, leading some people to view Okonma as bisexual, rather than gay. The man himself appears to be perfectly happy somewhere in the middle, with an eye on beautiful people regardless of gender. He’s indicated as much in other songs, including “Wilshire,” which contains the lyrics “I could f*ck a trillion b*tches every country I done been in/Men or women, it don’t matter, if I seen ’em, then I had ’em.”

With this information in hand, it seems reasonably safe to assume that Okonma is bisexual, or at least very open in his sexuality. He certainly doesn’t restrict himself to women — and, in fact, appears to prefer men — but I wouldn’t go so far as to broadly label him as anything. The man knows who he is, and the rest of us should simply be happy that he’s willing to share his music, and flawless humor, with the world.

‘Tyler spent his own money to change it’: Carl Jones shares how Tyler the Creator narrowly avoided beef with Wu-Tang Clan https://wegotthiscovered.moviesx.org/news/tyler-spent-his-own-money-to-change-it-carl-jones-shares-how-tyler-the-creator-narrowly-avoided-beef-with-wu-tang-clan/ https://wegotthiscovered.moviesx.org/news/tyler-spent-his-own-money-to-change-it-carl-jones-shares-how-tyler-the-creator-narrowly-avoided-beef-with-wu-tang-clan/#respond Fri, 08 Sep 2023 21:17:24 +0000 https://wegotthiscovered.moviesx.org/?p=1583474 The eccentric rapper apparently heard that Wu-Tang Clan wasn’t nuthing ta f wit.]]>

Carl Jones, a writer, voice actor and producer on the animated show The Boondocks, has had his hand in a few different animated shows. He played Coach Bundy on the Comedy Central show Legends of Chamberlain Heights, and he worked on The Jellies with Tyler the Creator, who apparently just avoided a big snafu with the Wu-Tang Clan.

Jones appeared on VladTV and he shed some light on what that entailed, and what it was like working with one of the most esoteric rappers in recent memory. Vlad asked Jones if it was tough to work with Tyler because he’s “so outside the norm.”

“He just does what the f*** he wants to do,” Jones said. “And working with him, he’s also really, really inspiring to me.”

Jones said Tyler’s brain works in a way he’s never seen before. “We’ll be at the table writing, and he’ll be like burning some crayons in an ashtray … and you think he’s not listening but he’s tuned all the way in and he’ll pitch an idea and then go to the top of the stairwell and just like jump down.”

Tyler was eccentric and unpredictable and spontaneous, he said, but he would still get the job done. That type of energy is also what almost got him in trouble with the Wu-Tang.

“Tyler tells us this story where he met the Wu-Tang for the first time, and I think it was Method Man that grabbed him and said, ‘yo, I need you to come to the trailer I want you to meet Rae and the crew.’”

Raekwon told Tyler that he knew they were an influence on him. He told Tyler, “it would be nice to pay some homage or whatever.” Jones said Tyler answered with “no disrespect but I’ve never listened to a Wu-Tang life.”

Tyler said he didn’t really think anything about it but Raekwon told him, “yo get [him] outta here.”

Jones told Tyler they should put Wu-Tang in The Jellies and do a story about what happened, but Tyler “got cold feet” because he “didn’t want to create no issues with them.”

It’s not that Tyler didn’t like the group, Jones said, he was just inspired by other stuff. The episode was written and animated, but Tyler tried to pull it. When Adult Swim said no, he spent his own money to change it in a way that was less offensive to the classic group.

Is ‘The Story of Top’ NBA Youngboy documentary real? https://wegotthiscovered.moviesx.org/news/is-the-story-of-top-nba-youngboy-documentary-real/ https://wegotthiscovered.moviesx.org/news/is-the-story-of-top-nba-youngboy-documentary-real/#respond Fri, 22 Apr 2022 20:13:12 +0000 https://wegotthiscovered.moviesx.org/?p=1195701 NBA Youngboy fans are going wild for the trailer of this new Netflix documentary on the rapper — but there may be a problem.]]>

NBA YoungBoy is one of the rising young stars of the hip-hop world. Despite his young age of 22 years, YoungBoy has already been name-checked by Snoop Dogg as a hot new talent and had a single, “Outside Today” hit Billboard’s top 100. He seems like a perfect subject for a music documentary, and fans went wild when a trailer popped up online recently advertising a new Netflix documentary titled “The Story of Top.” Unfortunately, it looks like that excitement is premature.

Though professional in appearance, “The Story of Top” is actually just a very well-done fake with footage from actual Netflix edited in with footage of YoungBoy to make a very convincing trailer for a non-existent film.

Although the trailer is fake, NBA YoungBoy most definitely isn’t. Born Kentrell DeSean Gaulden in Louisiana in 1999, YoungBoy earned a cult following based on the six mixtapes he’s delivered in 2015, 2016, and 2017. His first studio album, Until Death Call My Name, was released the following year. He’s collaborated with Meek Mill, 21 Savage, Lil Baby, Lil Wayne, and Snoop Dogg himself. “WusYaName,” his collab with Tyler the Creator, even earned the rising star his first Grammy Nomination this year.

As for the fan film, it appears to be just that. An album made by anonymous fans and put out online. Whether it was intended as a troll or to hype YoungBoy, only the creators know for sure. It seems to be derived from fan art published on the Reddit page dedicated to the artist by OnyxOnOpium a month ago. The YouTube video was posted by what appears to be an NBA YoungBoy fan page called 10K Squad.

So no, don’t hold your breath if you were looking forward to streaming an NBA YoungBoy doc on Netflix this weekend, but who knows, maybe the curiosity over the fake may plant a few ideas in the heads of Netflix’s studio execs. Stranger things have happened on the internet.

Tyler, the Creator and Converse are teaming up once again with the rapper’s streetwear brand to launch a new Converse By You x Golf Wang Chuck 70 collection. Unlike previous collaborations, the line allows fans to customize their own pair of kicks in a variety of colors, using classic Golf Wang logos and other assorted graphics.

But here’s the kicker: the line will only be on sale for a total of 24 hours on April 28.

Both Converse and Golf Wang announced the new line in tandem Instagram posts on Thursday.

“Converse By You x Golf Wang Chuck 70s are coming soon [but] only for a limited time,” read the post. “Launching April 28 at 10 am ET / 10 am CET, the customizable collection will be available for just 24 hours.” The post likewise directs fans to the website to explore designs before the merch drop.

“After years of bold collaborations, Converse and Tyler, The Creator bring you the first-ever customizable Golf Wang Chuck 70,” reads a description on the product website, which goes on to say:

“Put your own spin on the icon with a vibrant palette of design options from his irreverent style universe. The distinct choices reference some of the most popular Golf Wang prints, graphics, and colors, from the infamous polka dots to subversive logo expressions. Blend Chuck 70 craftsmanship with the playful aesthetic of Golf Wang — and make it your own.”

All told, there are more than 100,000 possible combinations that can be designed, and the custom shoes will set you back $115 per pair — that is, if you to order them in time.

‘Jackass Forever’ teaser introduces new jackasses and Tyler the Creator, Machine Gun Kelly cameos https://wegotthiscovered.moviesx.org/movies/jackass-forever-teaser-introduces-new-jackasses-and-tyler-the-creator-machine-gun-kelly-cameos/ https://wegotthiscovered.moviesx.org/movies/jackass-forever-teaser-introduces-new-jackasses-and-tyler-the-creator-machine-gun-kelly-cameos/#comments Wed, 05 Jan 2022 21:19:39 +0000 https://wegotthiscovered.moviesx.org/?p=1126639 We're ready to put the drama of the past couple years behind us and enjoy some dumb fun when 'Jackass Forever' hits theaters.]]>

In anticipation of the revival of the stunt-filled shenanigans that first wowed teens and disgusted their parents on MTV, the forthcoming Jackass Forever movie is introducing the world to some of its brand new crew in a new teaser video.

ing the legacy cast, including Johnny Knoxville, Steve-O, and Chris Pontius, are some fresh-faced newcomers. That includes Jasper, Rachel Wolfson, Erik Manaka, Poopies, and Zach Holmes, who express reverence for the original creators and appear eager to prove their worth. That includes participating in such timeless rites of age as parachuting down a slip-and-slide, getting decked by a giant fist while performing a kick-flip, being a human bike ramp, licking a taser, falling onto a bunch of cactuses after trying to fly upon a kite, and getting bitten by snakes.

Other celebrities making cameos include director Spike Jonze, comedian Eric Andre, rapper Machine Gun Kelly, professional skateboarders Tony Hawk and Rob Dyrdek, and musical artist Tyler the Creator.

The movie is slated for release in theaters next month, according to the video’s description, which appears to confirm that a speculated possible blocking of its release by former crew member Bam Margera, following a court victory, doesn’t seem to be going through after all.

Margera, who has had high-profile struggles with drug addiction, had apparently been fired from the movie after not adhering to Paramount’s condition of sobriety through various stringent testing measures, including consenting to frequent breathalyzer tests, twice-weekly urinalyses, hair follicle testing, and medications being monitored by a doctor via Facetime.

But we’re ready to put the drama of the past couple of years and what all went on behind the scenes behind us and enjoy some dumb fun when Jackass Forever hits theaters on Feb. 4.
